I played the fortune spins on bullion bars yesterday. Was a grand down but ended up losing 600. What really pissed me off was the gambles for spins. In dozens and dozens of 50/50 gambles for 2 spins (I then go for more) I lost every single gamble. In all the years playing slots I've never seen a rip off quite like that.

Same here, mate: gamble small wins - with the aim of 50 spins. Sometimes happens. Don't beat yourself up for missing that long punt, sometimes that's the only one that lands. Not that I would advise anyone to play those things. Quite the opposite in fact (they'd advise me). But since you play them anyway ...
When you got a tease at 38:20 that last reel missed out the third scatter… two went passed and the third one wasn’t there at all.. should have came in from that spin.. wtf is that all about? Bent programming I noticed as well on some terminals this game glitches a lot on the teases…
