Well done Keith. Always good to get a fish to start. Have not fished a national for over 50 years, when it was weight and just one match. Two nationals...blanked in both....disappointment still with me.
Hi Keith You've had a poor draw there, mate. I know the area well rarely ever gets fished, so any disturbance spooks any fish. The inside line you fished sometimes throws up a decent roach on caster or bread. You sometimes get the odd good bream across, but it's not a good area at all.
Well done mate ,bet you thought you was on your local fosdyke with that scenery, what i dont ever understand is why such an important match on the calendar always seems to be on rock hard venue's? Why not venue's with fish spread through the venue , more enjoyable for the angler's who are travelling miles just for a few ounces or blanks in some cases 🤔
@@dannymorrill4082 thanks for watching Danny, luckily I’d been down and practiced so I knew there were a few fish to be caught in the first hour and if you didn’t catch then you would really struggle. As always in nationals there are some good areas, but some bad ones as well. I think that is always going to be the case on natural venues when it’s spread across miles mate 👍🎣
@@dannymorrill4082 I think the biggest problem, from what I’ve heard is that not many associations want to hold it,also the way the national has always been run is,river, large canal and small canal that is to try and make if fair for different types of teams 👍

@enjoyyourfishing yeh ,I get that ,but you know yourself there's better natural venue's around, with long stretches for these type of matches
