The factory 5.7 pistons are not weak and can hold 800+ horsepower quite well the ring gap isn’t big enough for boost. You add gap and it’s good for boost. That’s why your piston separated at the ring and blew the tops off the pistons
Nice color on the block reminds me of the old school blocks and i applaud you brother you have alot of tools i only dream i could much as im interested in engine building bare block like you did idk if i can pull it off tbh
@@teammopar771 I got a ProCharged Ram I have cam from Jay but since I was going deep in the motor to the Cam I was thinking about getting a rotating assembly I was looking at MMX but they charge $2K for just rods and pistons i was searching the web to see what’s out there and came across ur channel
@@cammedramprocharged4927 well you'll need to take the block to a machine shop if you decide to stoke the motor out. That's another 1.5K in work. The stroker kit will cost you 3K. If it's in your budget and time frame I say go for it.
It was a combination of things. I had forced the Jeep into RWD. I was using a 125 shot. I wasn't on a NOS tune. I ran it off idle. I just did everything wrong. Once the race started I just was burning out off the line. Once I caught traction my RPM dropped and then the engine blew apart. I think because it happened at such a relatively low rpm 1500-2500 is why my engine damage wasn't that bad.
@@teammopar771 well that kinda sucks because u have that nos controller to stop that from happing yes ?? of idle ? yes heard u can not do less than 3000 rpm? i always wondered if u could u nos for burn out ? well u have answered my that theory on that ? well we all try things in our own way ? and no doubt we know the risk ? but we all have to try our selfs ? again i would think the nos should of shut the nos off with the controller ?? i thank u for the reply back and well the jeep will only be a better one when all said and done !!!!!
@@lloyddecker2965 you can program the NOS controller to active play above 3K RPM. You can go as far as controlling how much nos is sprayed at 3k rpm say from 50-100% over a desired time period. I however, elected to spray 100% off a WOT signal.
Nice blue, about the same as what I went with. We should do a shout out to each other for the channels. I’m down for a meet up once they are completed too

That blue looks awesome bro.
Thank you.
It looks like the blue that my 74 Dodge Dart 318 was painted. Nice 👍

Where did you get your parts from
Who balanced your crank with rods and pistons
CNC MOTORSPORTS for the stroker kit. Madcap Racing in Colorado double checked the balancing.

alsome videos can i ask what blow your stock pistons apart ?? was it NOS?? and what was the size shot that did in the pistons ?
