Born and raised here i moved around alot as a kid first cayce then lexington and west columbia then columbia and then i moved to chapin.. if you didnt know chapin is a rich suburb and even though its a rich suburb chapin highschool and gun threats when i went there.
I can tell this person isn’t a native from Columbia,SC. There are whole hood neighborhoods and he didn’t go anywhere near hwy 321. The whole highway to Winnsboro is hood. Didn’t go on Monticello road. Straight hood all day and night.
You missed a the following hoods Greenview State Park Green St Washington Park Belvedere Bluff Estates Woodfield Park New Castle Starlite Ames Manor Latimer Manor Hillandale Hollywood Hills Broad Riva til you get by the prison and any I forgot off the top of my head
I lived in the old Washington Carver Village for 2 yrs. 66-68 as a kid. Been in Texas since. It was a little ruff then, but I hear it's really bad now.
Your video starts out in the parking lot of a snack stand at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Two Notch Road. My great grandmother lived two blocks down Chestnut until her death in 1988. Whenever we would visit during the summer, my brothers and I would walk up to this stand to get ice cream. The place has changed a lot and yet not at all at the same time.
My home city... in any of that you can go just one block over and be in more beautiful well kept communities. You started off in an area this will only improve in value as you can the city added classic vintage looking street lights, no over head electrical wires and removed what used to look like Walmart parking lot lights. There at the end you just passed a huge investment where they've added a beautiful Riverwalk across Broad River where the doubled the size of the bridge, updated it with beautiful vintage style lamp posts with easy access to the river/canal that's well kept, public restrooms, paved pedestrian and bike trails that lead 5 miles along the river to down town. At the end you passed the Skyland community where I just sold property for twice of what I originally bought it for. I think you were just lost driving around.
Well, if those are what you call the hoods, they sure are well-kept. Go to Macon, GA, Cleveland or Youngstown, OH for a hood awakening. Just to name a few.
Must've been scared doing this video of the hoods. Didn't drive through entire Colony Apts. The back side of apts brings you to Farrow Rd hood side. Well anyways real ninjas stop n talk to find reasons for their Video topics. Ijs
