- Cliffe Knechtle has a good dialogue with students at Texas State University. Recorded in November 2012.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This was an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I would have asked Mr. Blue-Shirt, "When was the last time you talked to a tree or a rock about their sense of justice or how they feel loved today?" I'm glad these debates get posted to youtube because these kids are going to grow up and in twenty or thirty years look back on how they thought they knew everything and realize how little they truly understood the world around them.

The kid in the blue shirt is a prime example of what colleges are doing to our youth. Then again could just as well be the parents as well, these kids are taught that their rational mind determines their rational mind, simply amazing, outstanding. Logic exist because i said so !

I’m used to seeing cliff making a valid point while hearing the music play before the segue to ending the video. But to hear this kid speak foolishness and hear the segue music start to play and see cliff look at him like an idiot is hysterical. This video is definitely top 5 funniest debates.

That kid wasn't speaking foolishness. The lettuce/machete decapitation fantasy was nuts. The fact that Cliffe couldn't respond to the reasonable and respectful young man but faded him out to launch into his own monologue wasn't the slam dunk you think it is. It came across as not only unfair but downright dishonest and cowardly.
The biggest tragedy is that this kid high jacked an intellectually honest discussion about the historicity of the gospels and steamrolled the conversation into la-la land.

I see people on here saying that he is foolish for simply “thinking.” These kids today are waking up and are no longer accepting these doctrines just because. They are seeking knowledge that expands far beyond one book. They have the courage to do what most are afraid to do..
There’s nothing new under the sun. All these ways of thinking have been around for years, any hippie who has “expanded his mind” will give you the same vague confused spiritual “truth” that they came up with.
At the end of the day these ways of thinking leads to trying to create a god of your understanding, which is fundamentally flawed because we want to justify our sins, whether we realize it at the time or not.
Satan is the author of confusion. We will foolishly accept any other explanation besides the hard truth. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
We can try to intellectualize it all we want, but we will only be further deceived by Satan, and further from the actual truth.
But do you agree that trees and rocks can appreciate love? and can differentiate justice and injustice? Good and evil?, education is good and science is good but don't depend on science too much or in your own thinking, because it can fail you sometimes.

I had pulled my children out of school since I got right with the Lord, and I am happy I did. I found out that my 5 and 9 year old sons would have attended "Mix it up day" this year and there was no notification to parents. On Mix-it-up day, the children got to learn about different races, religions (but no Jesus), etc. But most importantly the acceptance of sexual perversion (Homosexuality). They also teach Yoga to calm kids before class work starts. This has no business in schools!!!

I watched this video on Facebook with caption saying "Pastor got grilled." with clips that were cut, cliffe was not able to talk, and comments being disabled. Sadly, people that are being allowed to comment there are being deceived thinking that what the kid says about consciousness is true. I'll stay off from videos with comments being disabled. Half of what he is saying is true. We are one with God but we are not in sync with God because of our sin, default carnal nature and ego as humans. Our deeds have separated us from the frequency of God and nature. We kill each other, we pollute and destroy nature. We are clearly not in sync. That's why Jesus came into the world to restore the balance. The kid has limited understanding of God whom he thinks is a "dictator" figure. If God is love, why perceive him as such? Because of the grace of God thru Jesus Christ, fear of punishment, hell, wrath has been dealt with for those who follow Jesus and we become reconciled with the frequencies of God and all creation. This is what is lacking in this boy's understanding.
I'm doing a test to see what people think of the music...I have had many threaten to attempt suicide because of the old music...And after three years of it I have a difficult time getting up in the morning to face the music myself...you'all can turn it off...I hear it every day...many times...D
thanks to cliffe i read more about christ than i ever did in my life. we need more knowledgable men that can stand debate for the faith and save that which is lost in their ideas.
Hey Buddy, grace and peace. I agree with what you're saying in principle. But there is great value in being able to go on to the college campuses of America and defend the Gospel accounts as accurate and reliable, and encourage the students to "read the gospels" for themselves. If they do, they will read, see and hear Jesus command repentance for themselves. I hear you though. Blessings!

Good point Buddy. Lest, we nullify the Gospel Rev 14:6-7 we need to interweave this truth of fearing God with apologetic and logic.
That fellow was not following his intellect or his perception of truth he was letting his feelings drive his words. On of our greatest struggles is to not let emotion control or direct our rational minds to the detriment of perceiving truth.
Just an idea, use some dialogue audio from good debates cliffe has had with that music (like laughing with who he talks with etc or maybe just audio from the actual video clips during the music at the moment.... that would go quite well together

At the very least, if all of you and your opinions from your point of view were the correct ones as you say, you would at least try not to criticize the other person and instead congratulate both of you for a good debate that was kept peaceful. and respect. you are making the same mistake of what you yourself criticize from other groups of people. I only read comments that reflect hate in this section, you should be able to self-analyze this point of view.

1. You can't use the "big bang" as a reference to prove something. It's a theory made to explain something scientists can't explain.
2. Statements made about one consciousness is actually an opinion and not a fact, not even a logical or scientific (undergoing scientific methods).
3. The student wants to claim that God does not exist but acknowledges the existence of spirit.
4. 18:56 Expressed disapproval of obeying God. To me, he knows God is real logically but he refuses to acknowledge Him because he doesn't want to be limited. In many debates that I watched with atheists, it feels like they know God exists but God's laws are against their philosophy, way of living, or simply their preference. It's like they want to be their own God and so they are finding reasons or excuses to refuse the existence of one true living God.
I loved the young man's defense of his argument. I don't agree or disagree, but (from this video at least) I'm impressed. However, it's difficult for him, as it is for ANY man, to dispute the actual evidence of Jesus' life, death and resurrection.
