DIY Chicken Coop Ideas for Building a Homemade Hen House (Free PDF Blueprints)

If you're planning on raising backyard chickens for your urban farm or homestead, you're going to need diy chicken coop ideas if you want to learn how to build a hen house and do it yourself. I'm offering this video with free plans to give you ideas on whether you need a large or small chicken pen with a run or chicken coop blueprints.
My partner, Jess, and I have been "urban farming" hens for eggs for the past 12 years, and we've owned lots of different types of backyard chickens (We've never owned roosters, so not sure if this coop would be perfect for you, but it might be darn good! If you have any woodworking or carpentry experience, it's pretty easy and cheap to build.

The first one we had was one I designed and built myself (with the help of my family). We moved from that property and the hen coop couldn't come with us at the time. When we moved into our last property, Jess and I decided we had had enough with the other coops and we wanted an evolution of that first coop because it was so convenient and effective for our goals.
