Even though JJ can be a senile jackass most of the time, this game made me realize that his problem against the property damage are very valid. The Sandman fight alone destroyed a considerable chunk of the city, not to mention the following Lizard and Venom attacks.

He’s also right about the property damage. Everywhere they go they do a ton of damage, sometimes intentional when miles breaks in a garage tunnel, and Peter fighting in someone’s backyard.

Most of the time the villains are already causing property damage and trying to kill people, hes trying to stop them not actively cause it, as for backyard fights its not like he can just ask the villains to change locations it isn't really intentional... Them breaking into things is very intentinal but thats usually to investigate, and if they dont investigate the villains would just end up causing more property damage and death. Its a matter of less damage now or more damage latter.

In one continuity, his wife was murdered by a guy wearing a ski mask. So he's automatically against anyone that hides their identity. If I remember right, that's why he praises the Avengers because they're open about their identities.
In the 90's show the reason he hates spider-man is because I believe someone masked killed his wife. I could be wrong. He just hates anyone who wears a mask. Spidey's just consistent since he's always in new york.

And honestly Jonah's giving mixed messages. One moment he's criticizing Spidey for getting involve due to being a masked vigilante. Next moment he says Spidey doesn't care when he doesn't get involved. Like for God's sake, they saved the guy's life and brought him to the hospital and he has the nerve to bitch a out consent when he was literally unconscious not too long ago. Like this Jonah is downright unreasonable now.

I'm gonna be honest, I want Jameson finds out about Spider-Man Identity in SM3 on his own and have to choose either expose him or protect his identity due to fact that Peter was in top photographer at Bugle and was young nose bleeding kid that had power to do right things when he couldn't. Would make great homage to Stan Lee & Steve Ditko story about JJJ and give character development when modern marvel cartoons did terribly.
But right now, I rather listen Ashley Burch voice than ugly hulk's voice actor.

The very last podcast showcases what makes John Jonah Jameson, Jr. the overbearing but good-natured man he is - even though he could have gone totally unhinged and tore Peter and Miles a new one over the symbiote outbreak, he didn't and instead he went after Oscorp - and with good reason as this isn't the first time they've recklessly endangered all of New York in the name of science; and he even ended it on a positive note "for now, enjoy life - we're lucky to have it."
Shame how much they skimped on the podcasts this time around, though; there should have been WAY more JJJ ones compared to the first game.

I know most of what Jonah says is like listening to a Joe Rogan Podcast but think about it from his perspective. He is an average human and he lives in a city with people with powers that can level entire nukes. Who wouldn’t be scared?
It’s like with Homelander. People see him as a hero for justice but nobody knows him for the villain he really is. It’s like how do people know for sure he is a good guy? Jonah is just someone who doesn’t have a concerning amount of faith in Spider-Man being a hero

I can't believe that this game really started to make me like this guy. I mean he was annoying in first Spider-Man but in this game I hate Mary Jane even more than before I did and watching how Jamison treats her like a trash she truly is. This really feels good and that's are the only good moments in this game. I hate MJ for being a disgusting tomboy and everyone like her deserves to be treated in the worst way. Like a slaves they are and always will be no matter what they do. I hate characters like MJ and I hate Peter for being a stupid simp for her. They deserve to be insulted by Jjah. That's why he earned my respect. When in game I hate main character. It only shows how bad this game is.
Old JJJ being hysterical towards the Spider-Men taking him to the hospital and the doctors waving “thank you” to them when they arrived is a great way to finally introduce him in the Insomniac Marvel Universe. 😂😁

Jamison is massive pain in the ass, but he’s got a good heart, in the flashback with Peter he’s giving him some good advice, and I think he knew of uncle Ben’s death, but didn’t want to give Peter pity money for a photo, so he said he doesn’t care for Peters reason while trying to teach him to be a man by having pride of being a New Yorker

@@wgnd1614 bro I grew up with spiderman tas and Jonah has had moments where he was a pretty good guy. In the comics, movies and shows he's been shown protecting Peter on multiple occasions and is shown to be a very good father. His only problem is his obsession with spiderman.

12:59 THIS, this is the essence of JJJ, Peter and Spider-man relationship, JJJ already knew about Peter's Financial problems he also knew from his investigation and that phone call he was too shy and introverted that would cause problems to him in life later on so he needed to get tough, he's hate for spider-man actually comes from a childhood trauma related to his father so even though is still unfair you really can understand his skepticism for masked heroes, Peter (intentional or not) got a very much needed father figure in a very vulnerable moment of his life giving him the confidence he needed and essentially creating the spidey we all know and love, and lastly Spider-man, JJJ and his followers actually keep him humble and mindful as much as he can of the destruction his battles can create and you see it throughout the games, spidey is always mindful of stuff like "I better fix this before Jonah accuses me of vandalizing" or "this week's Bugle story is going to be a doozy".
I really liked this and the "missing grandpa" side-missions, they capture the essence of spider-man perfectly.
It's insane how unintentionally based J.J actually is in this game. This has been the most lovable the guy has been since the Sam Raimi movies' interpretation of the character.

If I was a caller I would ask JJJ if he thought he was giving them the Richard Jewel treatment. Long story short for those unfamiliar this security guard who took his job really seriously while his coworkers were oblivious found a bomb in Olympic park and saved most lives. Just one died from shrapnel to the head while the other got a heart attack but more would have died if not for him. Instead of the media portraying him as a hero he was considered a suspect that staged the whole thing for glory, portraying him as a fake hero. Even though they found the real culprit Eric Rudolf it still damaged his reputation permanently. What do you think JJJ would say if I made that comparison?

Yeah, they even made a movie about it, and the movie fully went in on the Media people who stirred that pot intentionally to gain views and traction. What was done to the dude was really ** up. Honestly, people in media (especially news people and journalists) should be held accountable for panning lies for financial or attention gain (same with judges and lawyers etc).

I find the bit about Wraith to be funny because JJJ says she should join the police. When she was even a member of the force for a time. And was frustrated about the system not working or failing against certain individuals.
At the same time it was surprising that he acknowledged that the Spider-Men held back and left things in the authorities' hands once the villains were beaten.
When he actually said that about Spider-Man I was so shocked I stopped swinging and ran into a building.

I really miss them being collectable. Once or twice they've been interrupted for me and there's no way to hear what I missed.
Let's hope that in the next update, they will include the broadcasts in the collection so we can listen to them any time.

The reason mostly depends.
Either because Spidey is everything Jonah is not, or because of his first wife dying at the hands of a masked hitman that he hates masked vigilantes, or because hating on the webhead sells a lot.

He'd respond to JJJ's attitude with threats and web shenanigans, So JJJ always felt that Spidy was escalating it to a personal battle. They've almost reconciled a few times, but then one of them takes it one step too far and they blow it.

@@garrettjackson1451 Here's the In-Universe Arguments I Think of why other Marvel heroes don't show up in these situations.
1. They do, but because of urgency they've failed to coordinate. So we don't see them because they're doing stuff on the other side of the island.
2. In this Universe, Spidy isn't a member of the Avengers, and they don't have a way to contact him. Because he's so careful with his secret identity, they don't really trust him, and so they're trying to solve it without involving him.
3. The Avengers are busy with their solo series stuff and are away from NYC right now. Considering all of them have their pretty considerable rouges galleries based all over the Universe, they might be thinking "come on web-held hold New York together" while they're in Latvaria fighting Dr Doom, or in the timestream fighting Kang, or in Asgard, or In Space, or scattered all over the world taking down AIM and Hydra.
Glad to hear Mary-Jane tell Jameson to “kiss her ass”.
Hopefully in upcoming game someone will tell Jameson the truth that everyone loves Spider-Man and hates him.
And I hope that Mary Jane will finally meet her end. I hate her.

I like how JJJ criticizes Wraith for killing criminals, saying that at least Spider-Man doesn't do it, but then praises the Hunters for killing Scorpion, because Spider-Man is too ineffective to do it himself. Which is it, Jameson? Do you want Spider-Man to kill or not? Do you want him to only kill supervillains? Do people lose their right to a fair trail as soon as they get super powers?

The greatest crime in this Spider-man game? Not enough Jonah. His podcasts in the first game were hilarious and constant. Also, why can't we listen to them again like the first game?
I just beat the game and I was thinking the same thing. I kept getting the podcasts just as I was about to do a main or side activity, so I'm sure I missed quite a few moments with Jonah and Danika. Really hope they add the option to go back and listen to them in a future update.
Now we know Silk is going to be in the Insomniac verse I really hope they keep the joke from her comics where J J just inexplicably loves her? For those who don't know, J Jonah Jameson's opinion on Silk (in the comics) is the EXACT opposite of his opinion on Spider-Man. He never has a bad thing to say about her. It actually makes shit really difficult to her because she's attempting to pretend to be a supervillain to spy on some criminals - but she can't build a decent rep because Jonah won't stop talking about how great she is. He even goes as far as accusing Spider-Man of interfering with her efforts to save the day when they do a team up together. Much like with his hate of Spidey - we NEVER find out why he likes Silk so much. I really hope they translate the joke over to the games when she becomes a PC.

Everybody wondering what bad guys going to be in Spider-Man 3 I'm just wondering if they're going to make JJ a lot more prominent the story lines with him or just so funny you can make the whole Spider-Man free just about beating up random bad guys and then at the end of the event here in Jay Jonah Jameson reaction that could be the whole game and it's still be a 5 out of 5
Can we talk about how JJJ seemingly switched opinions, first he said he actually is okay that the Spider-Men don’t kill the villains, but in the next one he’s telling Spidey to man up and kill the villains and die trying.

Out of all the Jamesons I seen, the Insomniac Jameson is the one I love to hate. Despite being more of the despicable Jamesons out there, I love hearing his podcast when swinging around and some of his rants makes me go “he does have a point.”
Prime and Ultimate Jamesons had the great character arcs of calling Spider-Man a menace before finally seeing the good in him while being Peter’s father figure next to Uncle Ben before learning his identity, the 90s animated Jameson being more brave and direct, while Sam Raimi Jameson and Spectacular Jameson I admire in protecting Peter when threatened by villains. Insomniac Jameson however, I can’t see him being that person, but more the cutthroat Alex Jones boss no one would blame you if you “accidentally” spill coffee on them.
I really wish that so many collectibles DIDNT interrupt these pod casts / calls. Too often i go see a Photo Op but i want to hear Jonah, so ill wait or i see a crystal or a bot
