3 cases mods power albrecht 6110 1.Strap OP1 = adjustable power = 4Wati / 8Wati (10 Watt if the semi-adjustable anti-clockwise power is set), the default band becomes DE + increasing the number of channels to 400; 2. Strap OP2 = radio amateur = adjustable power 4 / 8wati (passionate only); 3. C-E power regulator strap (middle pins + left pins as you look from the front of the station) = fixed power between 20wati-30wati maximum (antenna to be very well calibrated).NOT AM
I believe the reason they sell it the way they do is because the radio is capable of running in 8 watts CB mode, this is twice the allowed power for CB, and with the 20 watt mod you are pushing way to much power in the CB mode. I have my ham ticket and plan on playing on the 10 meter band by putting a switch on op1 and op2 so I can go back and forth. When I am traveling down the highway in my Motor Home between South Dakota and Arizona it will be nice to be able to talk on the CB for road conditions and such, as well as playing on the 10 meter when that is open. I also have my 2 meter rig in the Motor Home so I can chat on the Ham repeaters along the highways and a UHF hand held for the 70 cm band for local repeaters in the major cities, so this pretty much completes my setup for traveling. Now if I can just find a good base for when I am parked in Arizona so I can try the HF bands.....
This guy.. This guy is correct. This radio is not legal to operate on 11 meter's at >4 watts in the States. Hence why it is sold as an export with it disabled.. A license is also needed to operate on the 10 meter. Seems a bit silly when there are small form factor CB's. The other trail guys won't be able to reach back the same distance so communication becomes mute... literally. LOL
I have been looking at this radio and it's big brother as a possible radio to get back into the CB/amateur radio seen. I was very informed about your video, it did answer a question for me. I would like to offer some incite to you. In my research I have found an answer to your question about why it is not in the 11 meter band. the CB band in the UK is the 10 meter band and in the US its the 11 meter band this particular radio was originally marketed for the UK. At least that's what I found in my research.
It's because it is designed for export outside the U.S. When you convert it to run on 11 meters here in the U.S. it's illegal because of the power output is greater than 4 watts.
The reason Anytone doesn't sell it as an 11 meter is because it is not certified for 11 meter, making it illegal sell or use it that way. As the FCC isn't going to come up behind you on the road, pull you over and fine you it is probably not going to be a problem. :)
I am unclear with THIS mod, I am in the US and the chart in the book shows it has 10 banks, DE is US CB band 26.925 to 27.405 so why the mod? I can switch from each of the 10 40 channel banks from 25.615 to 30.105. All I saw was it will give you 40ch US AM and the ch 41-80 FM
Nevsuse they don’t because that radio cant meet fcc type acceptance. Its not truly legal in the us. By modding it, it‘s not legal for use. That radio puts out 10 watts. As a ham you should know that 4 watts on am and 12 watts on SSB is the legal limit in the us for 12M/CB. That radio could not be imported into the us with CB enabled.
The Radio will not fully Modulate the 8 Watt AM carrier it is capable of producing. The Max carrier I was able to 100% modulate was 5 Watts (See My Blog) . The nice thing about this radio is there is no Modulation adjustments, which keeps the Golden Screwdrivers from turning it into a Trash Transmitter
If you want to keep it legal, you can't. That radio is not FCC part 97 compliant. Hence, illegal to use on the 11 Meter, CB band. That's why it's not sold that way. Peace ✌🏽
They should’ve put some kind of a switch on his buttons there if you touch those you have to meter or 11 m without even touching the board just hitting the button buttons in the front to convert it
It’s build for the European market under the name of albrecht AE 6110. Anytone might be a Chinese clone/company that sold EU items through amazon to the US by mistake or they are too stupid to know there’s a difference in transmit bands between the EU and the US.
its to make you put your fingers in it so you can mod the hell out of it, to give it a shorter life .I got a fan on mine it gets hot quick ,not an Anytone fan , just bought it because its the smallest one out there
Good to see my Blog helped somebody out there in Radio Land.
I hope this schematics is very close to average of most clones www.tech-comm.ru/sxema/Sh_Vector_VT-27_Smart.pdf
How about doing another video on the new board...?
I think you put out a really good video, don't ever stop. You have helped me many times
thanks

I need to know how to turn upnthe receive pod
These are great for the smaller cars of today with almost no dash space. Lol the mic is almost bigger than the radio!
Have one ordered to go in my 86 Montero.

They don't sell it already set because of the FCC.
can't be sold in US CB mode because it transmits at 8watts
I've seen this radio being sold as a CB only radio with either Uniden or Cobra badges on it.
I heard its a 4 watt dead key and swing to 12 watts max when you modulate to be legal, like me .
If anytone sold the radio as an 11m US CB radio they'd have to triple the price LOL.

a lot of blabbing about nothing. OP1/Open and OP2/Open for 26.965 - 27.405
could you put a small switch across that jumper, to switch between modes?
yes
Use it and enjoy it
they cant sell it with the wattage its called a exsport radio
They should’ve put some kind of a switch on his buttons there if you touch those you have to meter or 11 m without even touching the board just hitting the button buttons in the front to convert it
Do yo have to press any certain buttons when you power back up after mod or does it automatically do it?
I heard you ask in the video why they didn't just market this as a cb radio. Did you ever figure it out?
Yes, its in CB mode
Do you recall the torx size? I don't have many and don't want to purchase a whole pack.. so for me knowing exactly which size would be nice.. thanks..
T8
You can just clip the jumper is so much easier

It’s simple to convert to 11 meter.
you have to modified the radio
The same thing can be done on the AnyTone AT-5555N. But it will put out 30W.
It will do ssb also
Converts 11 meter to 10 meter radio. Not gonna change output because I want to keep it legal. 😂. (Already broke the legal barrier)
Is no one going to say anything about the dog mess on the floor?
Your funny, It makes my house smell good. Actually I don't have a dog. those are my Kids cars.
Surprised the old fart hams havent ripped you to shreads over using this on 11 meters. Not like i give a shit but some will throw a shit fit.
....amazing!!! ..MAYBE IT CAN TAKE A SWITCH ..THEN YOU HAVE BOTH.
Just jumper OP1 and the radio is Wide Open
"probably like 3 or 4 inches wide"??? How about just measuring it!
mikebutlermedia Google the specs goofball
Die video Vers bad
Right numbskull, we don't know the difference between 10 and 11 meters ive been in the hobby for 30+ years and never learned nothing.
