The best time to visit Salalah is during Khareef season ,between July to September.
Dhofar is the southernmost region of Oman. It is best known for being one of the main producers of aromatic frankincense, both historically and in modern times.

My Father spent 30 years in Salalah...he was in ministry of power and energy and retired on director seat of his dept..all main power stations of Salalah e,g..main city,Raisut,Marbat, and others were developed and started in his tenure..he was their since 1971 when city was accomodated in one palace...even Yemen war + Sultan Qaboos kingdom was began at that time...me along with my siblings got education from Pakistan School Salalah. .i was in 1st batch who completed matriculation in new building of school. .later on we back to Pakistan for higher studies but visited Salalah on vacations. ..my God things are changed so much in development zone..but beauty of beautiful sight like Ain Razat,Ain Imran,Taqa,Raisut, Ain Mughsail,Nabi Ayub Shrine and much more r same to see...love u Salalah. .
