@@brittanyolga I do a little binder or folder with a sampling of each years work. Just this week my daughter who is 8 pulled out every book and looked through each one. She loves reminiscing like that too.

I enjoyed watching this video of how you plan your school week. It was simple and relaxing. I have yet to use the School Nest planner. I’m thinking I will start this fall for the next chill year when my son joins my daughter in homeschool. Thanks for sharing how you use yours. Your haircut is cute!
We use physical books to follow along with audio books too! Works so well!

Happy New Year! I like the hair cut. My beautician moved out of state so I have to find a new one and definitely need a cut. Ugh. Oh well. We started an entire new math program last week. New Year=Fresh start. We are trying to change up our year to refresh our minds.

My daughter is 13 and isn't doing as much as your daughter. I wish I could engage her interests more. I also have a 6 year old son who is doing k mwc and hooked on phonics. He is really not a fan of maths but seems to enjoy reading. I feel like I want to throw away all the curriculum books and just start over as my kids just seem bored. The way you spoke about science sounds so fun and possibly a way that maths and english can be incorporated for the most part. We started back on Monday and we are doing a mini unit study on the picture book "were going on a bear hunt" as my 2 little boys (6 & 1) really love the story and they seem to have really enjoyed that. I'm wondering if this is the way forward but I guess I'm scared to take that leap. X

Love your hair!!! Love how your using the schoolnest planner. I just got mine last week and plan on starting it next week. When you do River of Voices do you do one lesson a week? We’ve been using it this school year but I feel like I don’t know how long to actually do each lesson.

Who is this Nicole for math ? And where do I find her videos and information?
I know this is an old video, but did you do the teacher intensive training for IEW, or does your daughter do the classes without you? (Online or video)
I did not take the teaching course. I just watched the first 2 unit videos with my daughter to understand how the writing instruction was taught. The teachers manual is very user friendly and guided me through out the whole course.
@@brittanyolga ok awesome. Thank you for responding. I used it many years ago with my older child, and couldn't remember what it's like. (I'll be using it again in a couple years)
