One of the best tutorial videos on UA-cam, especially for Digital Arts.
That's how you should talk to beginners...

You can lock/unlock layer transparency by pressing the / key too. After 25 years of using Photoshop, I only discovered this a couple of weeks ago! 🤯

Very nice to see some beginner level tutorials but if I may say it would be more suitable to use something cheaper/beginner friendlier than Photoshop, maybe Sketchbook Pro or infinite painter (since many has android tablet or that fruit thing or what ever and SBP or ip are available for both of these devices). Anyways, keep up the great work!! :-)

Great video, but I’m a little confused. There are links to iPad, but you’re using photoshop with hot keys. What are you using to draw in this video? IPad? PC? Mac? I have an iPad Pro. Can it be connected to my computer? Or are you using the photoshop app on iPad with some sort of Bluetooth keyboard to use the hotkeys?
It’s been a while since I used photoshop. I mainly use procreate because I’m not fond of subscription fees, BUT lately I have been applying for studio jobs and they almost all require extensive photoshop knowledge, so I’m wanting to get back into it. I have a Wacom intuos 3, which is fine, but can’t compare to the natural feeling of drawing with my iPad and Apple Pencil. Which is the best or your favorite tablet/device to use with photoshop these days?
    Open to any suggestions.

Hello Tamara, I am painting on a Wacom Cintiq and Anja is painting on a Huion tablet. We both have the tablet connected to a computer, mine is to the PC and Anja's is to her Mac.
Yes I understand. Anja is also applying to studio designer jobs, that's why she wants to get "the grip" of Photoshop.
I would suggest that you keep using both; photoshop and procreate and keep on practising. Trust me that with time, you will become as comfortable in Photoshop as you are in Procreate.

@@LucasPeinador thank you, Lucas! That is so helpful. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond! I have been learning from your tutorials for years and my whole family loves your work. I will keep practicing! Wishing Anja great success with her photoshop and studio journey as well! I loved seeing you guys work together. Super cool! Thanks again!

I have an iMac connected to my drawing tablet and I am able to work with Photoshop. I also have an iPad Pro with Procreate which I use to do all my artwork. I would like to work on my tablet with Photoshop, but compared to Procreate it's such a hassle: having to use a keyboard for all the shortcuts and the overall interface which is very outdated and clearly not made for artists. Meanwhile, my (new) tablet is collecting dust, and I'm pretty much only using the iPad.
I got the tablet so I could have more layers in high resolution, but the Photoshop interface makes me hesitant to use it. I feel I need a crash course on how to go about it.

Oh men that is a very understandable struggle. Thank you so much for sharing. I would suggest you to try using both and just keep practising. Trust me, if you are using a software like Photoshop that is more complex, you will get to know it and used to it in time.
      Wish you good luck ;)

Hi! You might not see this, but Im stuck on the step around 2:26 where you transform the circle? When I hit ctrl+t, it selects everything including the background, not just the circle.

In the Transparency section, you say to fuse two layers, but you do not say how you fused, Did you link, merge, or flatten? Thanks.
