I used to sing this to my 1 year old daughter, but 8 months later, had a cough and couldn’t sing. So that’s when I found this and put it on a speaker through my phone, so that she could sleep and mommy can rest lol AMAZING!!!
Unpopular opinion: the time when she was recording this song was the beginning of her voice deterioration - despite the hauntingly beautiful singing she provided here. You can hear the overtones are rearing its head when she goes for her falsetto - probably more than she would have preferred to (if that was actually the intended effect). Knowing how perfectionist she is, she would have redone some vocal takes had she been able to. I think overtime the overtones became too pronounced, making her falsetto extremely thin and hard to control. There are so many videos of her vocal squeaks when this happens. Still love her. I just wished her voice stayed where they were like during her MTV unplugged era. Her voice was so heavenly and effortless. I'm sure she would've enjoyed singing much more too during that time. ❤

Unlike with reverb, it makes the voice smoother, softer and makes the resonance greater and can make the notes longer. This is not hate. Just sayin’
