All Aboard! - A Time Blend Tutorial

I had a vision for a single composite image that showed the El Paso Star, the Franklin Mountains, and the passage of time from sunset to night.
I approached my friend for suggested shooting locations, and he took me to this awesome spot near a local railyard. While he got drone footage of the area, I set up my tripod and camera and settled in for the night.
I snapped several shots of the scene, and in this video I show you how I used three of them to realize my vision through time blending.
As an unexpected surprise, a locomotive was in the yard that provided amazing pop to the image. All in all, I'm very happy with how it turned out. I wasn't the only one, as this image placed third in its category (Borderland Experience) in a local photography club and is now hanging up at a photo exhibit in the El Paso International Airport.
Hopefully this tutorial helps you realize your own creative visions, it's amazing what we can do with our cameras with just a little thought and experimentation!
