Hi everybody! I have all kinds of cute and fun Halloween videos coming out this month, but TODAY, WE HAVE A PRETTY DISTURBING ONE LOL. Due to popular demand, here is "Sonic and Tails Play: Sonic.exe!" It's a horror game you guys have been requesting for us to play for literally a decade, so we finally gave it a shot! We censored, blurred, and cropped in a lot of places, but please remember this is a horror themed game with strong horror imagery, intended for ages 13 and older. Our channel in general is PG13+, but especially this one! Please be sure you know what you're clicking on before you watch this, I gave as many warnings as I could xD Take care, everyone! I heard that the other day so, my buddy Elijah got the original game and it was cursed from the beginning. So he installed the game on his sisters computer and him and his sister played the game and they got scared and got off. Later they were watching TV and then, IT HAPPENED. They were watching TV and it went static then it looked like sonic.exe in the static then it stopped. That freaked me out when I heard that and I knew that was real because I've seen stuff like that on the boys channel when they went to the clown motel, subscribe to them btw. IT WAS VERY SCARY!!!

Hi, I'm the creator of the Sonic PC Port. I just want to say thank you for playing our game, it was funny to see you immediately delete it after the game took control of your pc for a moment.
Fun stuff really.
But it's just really cool to see this channel play it out of the hundreds of let's players since I've been watching your content for years. I hope you'll come back and visit the game after we complete it, until then I'll just be watching like usual.
By the way, the project is not canceled. Just a big troll we pulled.
I meant to come back and comment here as well, I had just reached out to you on Twitter first. xD Thank you for coming to watch, Joe, and for developing another version of the game for the community to enjoy and get spooked out by I think Sonic.exe has been a big part of HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES in the Sonic community for a long time, and it was a lot of fun to experience them for the first time. The PC Port is so creative in its execution, between the popups and making use of the notepad function. I laughed a lot and had a ton of fun with the game, but I was also creeped out enough not to want that file just chilling out on my computer forever xDD That thing had to go, FAST!
It's great to hear you're continuing the project! I'd love to do a follow up video and play some more, since it ended on a cliffhanger, haha

In my opinion, the best horror is that of the psychological variety, which the last one started venturing into. Making you question what's actually happening and what isn't. Making you question your understanding of the game, and how it interacts with the world. Jumpscares and gore can only go so far for shock value, but seeding uncertainty lasts...
Brave folks you got, laughing off the horror. Wish I was around to see the live premiere...
I tend to agree! I like psychological horror the best, which usually requires that a piece of media takes its time to build tension and play mind games with you haha. Jump scares will always be effective for a little burst of alarm, but those are annoying, nobody comes out of a movie or game thinking "boy those jump scares were the best part lol", and it's easy to just shrug off the gore, or even laugh about it when it can be so over the top sometimes! That certainly happened here, you literally hear how hard I burst out laughing as soon as the game got to the gory stuff LOL. The creepiest thing about the game was the music building tension, and not being able to see things very well sometimes, and the innate human fear of POP UPS lol. It's a lot of fun to play with a friend so you can go in as a team, haha
FEAR and FEAR Extraction Point do this stuff very well.

On one side it's a stupid meme, a simple little thing to make jokes and stupid cartoons about.
On the other, it's the scariest thing you can imagine. A reality bending demon that took the form of something from your childhood.

I can see why something like this would be really scary if you run into it a certain time in your life! It did some good work with building spooky tension, even if I thought some of the gore was so over the top that it was funny lol. Thank you about the Vtuber models! We commissioned our friend CuteyTCat/Daniella to make them for us, and she did a beautiful job :)

I never found Sonic.exe that scary but it was definitely creepy looking but the worst it did was surprise me
I missed the boat on Sonic.exe being a popular new Creepypasta, but people have been asking me to play it for years lol. There were definitely some creepy elements where I was little on edge, but it was mostly music and atmosphere, rather than the horror elements themselves. As you can see from watching the video, the gore parts actually made me burst out laughing I think it was laughing in surprise, just because it was so over the top xD The game was fun and it got more and more creative in execution as we went along. It was especially fun just getting to play them with Nate lol, hard to get too scared with a buddy there!

PC Port Sonic.exe is actually in the Sonic.exe Friday Night Funkin mod if you (SongSong182 Crew) didn't know already, and for both PC Port and Mod, One of the Sonics is called "Lord X" hence the literal X on his chest. I wonder what would've happened had Sonic.exe PC Port not been cancelled. I'm theorizing, because the player was checking notes from Tails, Lord X would've been more...gruesome when playing as Knuckles, and probably even worse when playing as Eggman. What are your theories on Sonic.exe PC Port if it wasn't cancelled? (the question is for everyone including SonicSong182 Crew btw)
