I think a resonated y pipe is a must for most single exit exhaust sound quality. I run one with longtube headers to help the sound and keep drone down.
This is the video I needed, direct comparison. A lot of people say the tomei is too much if you have art pipes, but all it really needs is another resonator to get rid of all the excess rasp. Which resonated y pipe did you take? I know motordyne offers a few options with their y pipe
I had Z1 headers motordyne Resonated y pipe and an AAM single and that sounded amazing, the AAM single uses a vibramt ultra quiet resonator and a vibrant TPV muffler. It's like adding another moyordyne resonated Y pipe. I will say this. All the bubbles cracks ans pops will destroy most resonators. Also its crazy how that XYZ pipe went from 380 in 2019 to almost 800 now a days. If I can do it all over again I would get the thaitanium resonated Y pipe and just fab up my own single But I paid for a fast intensions with two 18 inch resonators
You need to get motordyne Art Pipes to clean it up. Typically getting test pipes will generate that noise for some reason. I have the same noise with berk non res test pipes and isr catback. Art pipes does justice for the bean in the can rattle noise
i had a full borla s type catback on my z, ended up changing the h pipe to a straight pipe (true dual exit, only thing that changed was the h pipe) and the car felt a little more responsive, not much, and made it a tiny hair louder. in my case the h pipe was kinda like a resonator(s) in terms of sound because of the turbulence they cause.
@@blackoutz3472 is it safe to say you felt more low end power after removing the H. For some reason i thought the H pipe would give the better low end power and throttle response
I have ISR LTH ISR Y PIPE & Tomei Single Exit No resonators No Mufflers No cats & I regret It my only hope at this point is the Resonated Xyz pipe, how much of a difference do you think that will make w my setup?
I know this is super late and you probably decided already but on mine I’m running Tomei with z1 y pipe and it sounded amazinggg I wanted a little more though so I threw berk test pipes in (I’m in FL they were rated best for weather/heat proof and it definitely meet my expectations maybe a little louder then expected but it’s gotta break in

Resonated midpipes do the job as well. I have vibrant resonators on my 08 G. Sounds amazing with my HKS exhaust
I’m running longtube headers with tomei and it’s hella raspy when rpms are coming down , does resonated y pipe help a lot with that ?
@@Nismodanny it should help out and make it sound better.
I like the Motordyne. It has more of a high performance sound to me.

XYZ
You can check my page, as of rn my car is motordyne art pipes and no mufflers, I got my tomei, just waiting for my y pipe
Hands down the Resonated Y Pipe sounds the Best!!

I think Xyz sounded a lil more refined
Is the ISR y pipe any good?
Can a Tomei Y Pipe work on a stock 370z?
Opinion on having test pipes AAM y pipe and isr single exit? Haven’t put it in yet b it wondering how that combo sounds
How to unlock the baby v12 sound🔥😤🔥
😆😆facts bruh
Would the xyz y pipe fit a g37 sedan?
i think short term, non resonated, long term/daily resonated
maybe resonated test pipes vs non reso next? 👀
Dude you have an sn95 and 370z too???
i think Y pipe give the most of the engine sound and make it more realistic ,my opinion maybe im wrong
Where you using berk resonated test pipes?
Isr
I’m having a buzzing noise when decelerating 3-2k rpm I have non resonated isr y pipe. Anyone know how to fix the problem

Some should have been same high way pulls compared instead of in the parking lot taking off
But the idle rev can def tell the difference
question is there no loss of power from so many resonators?
Nope. If anything the car feels a little more responsive

You will definitely notice a change with the start up and driving the car. It should be slightly more quiet.
What should I get with my Tomei for my nismo, ISR y pipe or Z1 y pipe? Any other preferred y pipes that would go well with a Tomei on a nismo?

@@cjellis5926 all good thank you!
So motordyne Y pipe and tomei ??! Ftw
Any difference in power one of those is 2.5 to 3 right and the xyz is full 3
Not really
I know that isr y pipe runs 2.75 to 3
Unlike most that are 2.5 to 3… isr better for power ?
They all the same really
definitely motordyne y pipe sounds better. i have a tomei on my g37 sedan. i put hfc on, way too raspy for me. had to go back to stock cats.
Are you running TP or LTH?
Tp
@@issaslowz nice, sounds great
I just put in my test pipes and it’s kinda raspy don’t like it. I just bought a z1 res y pipe. Because I seen ur vid, it’ll sound soo good w it. 🔥
Hey let me know how you like that, I'm about to do the same thing.
Give us an update on that i felt the same way when i first installed my Berk test pipes
I am going to buy the Z1 resonated Y pipe for my 08 350z 100% 👍👍
Personally went with tomei exhaust & y pipe with motordyne art pipes b
Sound clip?
why does my tomei sound nothing like yours lmao wtf? my exhaust setup is stock headers motordyne art pipes isr y pipe and tomei y pipe back
Motordyne 👍👍
I have a x pipe dual pipe
