I stop playing volleyball after high school...everytime when I come watch josh highlight or his game... make me wanna play vall again it's been years I dnt have the skills like back then nomore!
Ironic that these highlights start with Josh scoring on a tip. :) Of course, the picture perfect blocks and kills soon follow. Thanks for posting these individual highlight videos from your tournament! Great motivation for the rest of us to keep working on all aspects of our own games...
Haha Most Teams stepped on the court thinking... we got this! They are bunch of short asian dudes. (After warm-ups) we still got this! There was no block. (After the game) damn... they are dope. Lesson of the day: Dont underestimate a saiyan’s power! Oh wait.... An ASIAN’S Power!
Dat Nguyen I play with an Asian dude (mostly in sand) and ppl think the same thing and he just dominates. He's probably 5'5 maybe 5'8 but just so technical favorite guy to play with. Never underestimate I wish I had Josh's jumping ability though man.
dachelk1 haha yup. I walked into open gym for the first time and was asking if i can play with some people, and most didnt want to cuz im short and wanted to play outside. After warm up and hitting lines, i got asked to play. Next thing you know, people ask you to play with them every time i come back. Lol
It's been interesting watching the whole USAV Nationals journey you guys had. It was cool seeing you guys improve throughout and almost making it to the final. It was also cool to see you guys do very well despite being almost 6 inches (possibly more) shorter than the competition on average. Some other interesting aspects was how you guys established the middle and everything else came from that; almost like what the pros do.
Josh is high key my inspiration. I'm 5'10" with shoes on too haha, Filipino, and have a 39" vert. but josh's is probably like 44" or something ridiculous.
Yo this is a awesome highlight video for Josh, the entire time I thought he was nasty! but 16:51 confirmed it!! Not only that but every time he does those crazy power spikes players and spectators get shook 😂
Honestly, I think the best game of Volleyball I ever played was at the end of a long tournament, and the night before I developed a fever. I don't really remember much of it, I just wanted to finish the game so I could go home and rest, but according to my coach it was by far the best I had ever played. The mind and body are pretty quirky sometimes.
Muito bom o jogo e treino de vocês! Se um dia vierem ao Brasil vamos jogar juntos e os levarei para conhece tudo em São Paulo. Estarei ai em breve. Abraço.
3:19 how can lib serve in this game? Hi coach, i’m 5ft6, my vertical reach is around 9ft10. Can you give me some advice to jump higher or close my hitting height to my ver reach as closed as possible?
@@Bingo5406 This is only the case in US/Canada rules I believe. Here's the libero rule for serving according to the International Volleyball rules: [19.3.1.3] He/she may not serve, block or attempt to block.
Great highlights. I've been traveling to Singapore to help host volleyball clinics in that region and we have coaches and players come in from Hong Kong and Malaysia as well. I'm always blown away by how solid the players are - even by middle school age - in all of their fundamentals. What level are you guys playing? It seems that on an international level that eventually when you have 6'8" guys jumping 40 plus inches that the countries who tend to be on the shorter side have a harder time competing at the elite level. I mean the Russians throw out front rows with multiple 7' tall players right! Anyway, love your team name and the fun you guys have. Also keep up the great teaching videos. I definitely link my club kids up to them to help them learn.
Josh just out here abusing that opposite for Crank Blasters. Should’ve switched with the middle, at least he might not‘ve gotten tooled so much. But great vid, as usual Donny!
I'm the same height as Josh but I can't spike because I can't jump high enough like him Watching this makes me want to hit the gym, get quads and jump higher!
The funny thing is, I could hardly reach the net not knowing that the net we train with is higher than the male height which is 7 feet 11 inches? ours go over 8, im the same height or maybe 5 11 and i jump 27 inches
Hey coach donny question. When/How do u know when to do a setter dump? How can u see the holes from the other side of the net while in a game? How can a setter know where everyone is when a ball was shanked or when a play is scrambled?
Bosch Wu differentlevels of play have different rules on that. In Olympic the libero doesn’t serve but high school, college I believe, and other adult leagues they can.
I have no idea why the opposition don’t triple block the pony tail player. It’s clear they overuse him and he’s the star of the team with very good vertical
cE TiTaN is very right in what he said. Try not to focus on how good or bad other people are doing. Just do you're best! The worst feeling I've ever felt is walking out of tryouts knowing I could've done much better. So avoid that and play hard! I made it into a u16 nationals (and a regional winner last year) team this year following what I said. Hope this helps! and good luck!
Josh doesn't get in the zone, he lives in the zone.
Josh doesn't live in the zone, he is the zone.
josh is just destroying everyone's hopes and dreams when they get nice saves in , "YES WE GOT IT OVER!" and then josh comes in like KACHOW
7:15 that line shot was crazy!
If Kuroko no basket had a child with Haikyuu, you get Josh.
This is an underrated comment 👌🔥

8:50 Damn, fav shot so powerful and straight. Luv it
fs!
yo the orange and black dressed team is high-key karasuno
i've been waiting for this for weeks.

That ridiculous vertical really gives him dynamic hitting angles! Plus, he can play different positions. Great player! 👍👍
Wonder if he's a relative of a former Philippine national team member named Thelma Barrina. She jumps high and smashes hard too.
that'd be a killer origin story

Coach, description is from the other highlight video. Thanks for putting these up!
I always come back and re-watch 8:52. So beautiful
I love how confident he is at all
Josh is high key my inspiration. I'm 5'10" with shoes on too haha, Filipino, and have a 39" vert. but josh's is probably like 44" or something ridiculous.
Bruh. 39 is still ridiculous
Yo this is a awesome highlight video for Josh, the entire time I thought he was nasty! but 16:51 confirmed it!! Not only that but every time he does those crazy power spikes players and spectators get shook 😂
I know I’m very late but Lesgo josh great playing and thanks for the video coach!
Can you make a video on how to improve reaction time when receiving, it would be much appreciated

Damn Josh, chill man
Josh power level is over 9000!!

3:19 how can lib serve in this game?
Hi coach, i’m 5ft6, my vertical reach is around 9ft10. Can you give me some advice to jump higher or close my hitting height to my ver reach as closed as possible?
anyone is allowed to serve. most teams just prefer someone else to serve over the libero

not going to lie but josh has the most satisfying spikes ever XD
dude at 17:01 i “bruuUUUHHHH”ed so hard
Josh's performance nowadays is really different from then.I hope you could return to your usual state.
Thats why he's number 1!

Man on Friday I have a 3 day state tournament and I'm going on Friday only but I seeing the position where the players are
did the libero just served?
9:35 what is that team that has karasuno t-shirts???
bruh josh is a goat when he is zen mode my guy sheeeeeeeeesh
Josh just out here abusing that opposite for Crank Blasters. Should’ve switched with the middle, at least he might not‘ve gotten tooled so much. But great vid, as usual Donny!
8:49 great spikeeee but that guy definitely saw it coming but did nothing?
4:03 it's like Suna Rintaro's counter cross shot
From Haikyu Anime
what shoes are those??
18:48 why is Josh allowed to spike even though he is standing in the back line?
he's actually in the front row but is in the back row to pass temporarily
Wait if you're in the back row you can't spike? Arent spikes from the back a thing? I'm new
@@themikays You can spike just can't take off in front of the 10 foot line.
11:47
No.7 can really serve especially with that body
10:17 AYY KARASUNO
I'm the same height as Josh but I can't spike because I can't jump high enough like him
Watching this makes me want to hit the gym, get quads and jump higher!

now i'm a fan of josh
Wow! Powerful smash..

Just1polygurl most of is is court awareness. It comes with experience
I know I'm like 2 years late, but holy shit that server at 22:02 was fucking sick
May i ask.. Why the libero also serve?
Josh is a beast
What is his vert? dude has ups
Justin Worth 43 inches
Where are you guys based?
8:24 I'm confused that why libero can serve the ball.
Bosch Wu differentlevels of play have different rules on that. In Olympic the libero doesn’t serve but high school, college I believe, and other adult leagues they can.
Why did the libero serve?
I would love to train with you and josh
hey did your libero made a serve isn´t that against the rules or am I stupid
I love your's coaching sar
What device do you use to record this vidoe?
What level of play is this?
i can't stop saying damn
I have no idea why the opposition don’t triple block the pony tail player. It’s clear they overuse him and he’s the star of the team with very good vertical
BB or A?
8:38 the libero made a serve?????
lamanay ader in some parts of the USA Liberos can serve
syddd ohh right, thanks
Thanks for the clarification, I couldn't understand what was going on.
YEAAAAA JOSH BARINOOOOOOO
19.50 why the setter can jump??? i thought he back court?
Only is illegal if the setter attacks the ball when he is backrow. only setting is ok
Josh the Ace Barrina
Super saiyan 4 is different, thats super saiyan Blue :O
Luke lmao
Hahhaa I was like SSGSSB?....lol FAIL
I mean he probably saw ssj4 back in the days and search images of it on google and prob got confused
plus it should be more like ultra instinct rather than super saiyan 4 or blue
Kristian Nikolov bro they didn't know ultra instinct back then
So amazing!! Haha
May I ask, what's your current favourite volleyball shoe?
I am going to be going to u15 tryouts soon and I was wondering if you could give me any tips
Liam Crofton where you from?
Don't worry about anyone. Play your best and accept the results, that's why I did and I made the u16 gold team
cE TiTaN is very right in what he said. Try not to focus on how good or bad other people are doing. Just do you're best! A libero's serve? Can someone explain for me, pls?
Perseu Oliveira in some parts of the USA some liberos can serve
i live in arizona , im a libero and i can serve
I didn't know that, thx. I was sure that liberos couldn't serve at a match.
According to the FIVB rules, they can't. but These tournaments are under USAV rules.
Syddd, Can you also overset the ball in the front court? I'm asking this because what happens in the minute t=12:52
Mans got ridiculous hops
NICE
I might need those Kobes
THE GOD HIMSELF.
why is the libero allowed to serve??
It is an American thing, i have no idea why, but in america liberos can serve
chawsy titus
Different rules: USA Volleyball allows it; FIVB does not.
i see, thanks guyss hahaha
I wish I knew how to spike like josh
start by getting a 35 inch vertical!
I read the comments and it sounds like I'm the only one from Ireland
David Larkin Well hello to you from the US
When Donny says ssj4 and shows ssbkk
Beast. Just want to watch clips of this guy hitting only. No need to watch others in his team lol
Didn't know he was an anime fan.
Super Saiyan Four, when you mean Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan

the filipino blood runs through him...
Asaiyan
He just seems invincabel at the net wtf
Should be playing against some tougher opponents
My like is the 666th one.
thumbnail xD
TOORNAMENTS
He is ok. I’ve seen good, and scary good. And none of these players shown here have what it takes to compete on the next level. Just being realistic!
polyprinz that’s why they are playing at this level 😉
Polyprinz, the other day, I was watching ncaa men’s d1 championship. I was like they’re “ok”. I’ve seen better and scary good also. Thx cap. Obvious
your intros seem so scripted and make it boring, just saying b
