Same here... I got only the 500GB model as well.... I recently bought a 2TB My Passport Hard Drive tho. But why on earth is it MANDATORY to use the front USB for Hard Drives? Id much rather use the back for a more tidy appearance.

You really don't need a bigger hardrive...just uninstall the games your not playing at the moment or games your done with for now. You can always install them later.

People saying 8TB is too much, it's overkill, no. You need all the extra TB you can get especially if you have a PlayStation 4 Pro or an Xbox One X those 4K updates take up a lot of extra space, just checkout the recent 4K update for the Master Cheif Collection on the Xbox One.

I’ve a PS4 first gen and I upped the internal to a Samsung QVO 2tb SSD and I’ve a seagate 4tb game drive.. the seagate is nearly full as my SSD I’m using for digital only games and saves which is at 1/2 capacity rn... I’m definitely going to go with an 8tb external... avolusion 8tb and it looks amazing at $200... let’s hope I can take all my 4tb’s stuff and put it in waves into the SSD and then back out into the 8tb

I have played and DO still play video games. What's so special about that? Well I am in my mid sixties and love playing video games. So when I saw my new PS4 Pro with one terabyte being eaten' up by my downloaded games I went to youtube to see what I could do. Pro tip if you plug in this exact my book like I did and it crashed your ps4 then hook up the hdd to a computer and format it using a different format then it should work. Now I’ve got a 9 tb ps4
You will need a extra Thumbdrive to download the Newest PS4 Software Update/Firmware and then install your 3.5HDD an afterwoard place the the thumbdrive into the USB shot and boot it up. And then go through the steps that pop up and update/formate the new harddrive

The my book series uses an encrypted file system so if it fails then you won't be able to recover data from the drive. I buy them when they go on sale and remove the drive and use a plug and play enclosure and format it for the past system.

It's kind of tough sometimes... Such as when the PlayStation Plus gives you Black Ops 3 for free. And the game is 80 gigs. Your hard drive just fills up really fast. But I agree, 8 terabyte might be Overkill.

Ps4 you only allow to use one for storage one back up or for view music or videos but you can’t have two ubs as storage

Mr Grumpy depends which one you get. One using both usb and outlet . Other uses only usb. 5tb or more used both while 4tb and lower uses usb only. Some 4tb uses both too

Call of duty games take a lot of space, just 3-4 of them will fill up a 500GB HD. I’ll admit it annoys me.

I have 1TB in my Pro which is enough for me. Many of us have fast broadband in the UK so occasional reinstalls don't cause me too much hassle.
