I cried a lot listening to this for the first time because I didn't know the lyrics. When she said "set me free let me be" I just felt all the emotion in her voice which brought out what I had tried to hide deep down. She just brings that kind of emotion when she sings. She is so talented. Her voice is perfection.
I feel this is Taeyeon's best song. To me it's not the best because it showcases her power nor is it one that highlights her technique. But, it's the way she expresses and connects to the lyrics. She sounds so beautifully heart-wrenching! It's not overly emotional but she sings it with so much hurt that its like she's embodying the song and is so tortured by broken love yet cannot escape it. The part that actually made me tear was 2:50-2:52; when she sings 'neowa naoui' and her voice breaks slightly just highlights the heart break that this character goes through just thinking about the times they were still 'you and me' as in a couple. So painful :'( I feel empty now.
