Moonshine McGhee, its Mugglebee and me! 😁
One of the very best Dark Stars. It blew me away the first time I heard it
Absolutely!
It’s the GOAT
Pig was just a jewel of the universe
A time it was... a time it was. We were quite lucky to be there. Capn Trips was only 28 and to produce the quality of music he was making-only in his 20s-was amazing. Magic spacetime.
Wow! I wasn't able to catch them until 1993 and when I hear stories about shows that I am still able to hear now that I also grew up listening too just give me goose bumps and feelings of awe. Thank you.
And yes the music he was producing actually all the boys at their age.. absolutely beautiful and brilliant
Oh my! This whole thing is shaping up to be one of the greatest hours of Dead you'll ever hear. We should all listen to these guys more often. Can we add an extra day to the week?
I'll write up the petition!
@@radiokilled4790 🤣 Let’s Roll!
Blursday... though I can't remember which days it goes between....
How lucky we are that they left us a vast archive. This is sublime.
@@UUpianoman Amen, it’s become an unbelievable time to be a Deadhead
Thank You Wall Of Sound
I think pre wall….
@@StephenDorocke WOS is the dude who runs this channel : )
Just got outta a long cold wk of work in the nor-east. Seeing the post made me smile. Mucho gracias. I think Mt. Washington has a new record cold temp as of last nite. Thanks a bunch for the tunes!! 🤙✌️Stay safe all.
Stay warm. Its brutal here in upstate NY today. This is helping though
-16* this morning here in NH 🧊 wind-chill -40* stay cozy ✌️
That’s why I moved to Hawaii. 🌴 no need to leave really. 🎉😅
@@darrenkrivit6854 I’m in NH, too.
Tough to beat this one. Always rises to the top. Moved Lesh to tears they say.
Incredible how music touches us all
Does anyone mind if I listen to this AGAIN, Wow, this was so good, never gets old that's for sure. Thank you WOS
Adoro tutti tuoi videos, sei il migliore!! Grazie W.O.S. ❤❤❤❤❤❤☮️🎸🎶🤩✨🌟💫
Forza Italia
Is sure like to hear the rest of this concert!🎉❤❤❤
You beat me to it. Songs played _before_ Dark Star that night:
Morning Dew
Me And My Uncle
Good Morning Little School Girl
Cold Rain And Snow
Easy Wind
Sugar Magnolia
It was a triple-bill with other artists, the Dead played just one long set to close the show
alright alright alright
my personal favorite love light ever, off the wall insanity to close out a 10/10 set
I'll bet you some of your commenters may not even have been born when this show went on. But that's cool oh, you can't argue with quality and perfection
Wow! Just, Wow! Thanks so much for posting this.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
What a blessing UA-cam turned out to be not to mention the GOOD ole' Gr8ful🙏😎🍄💀⚡🌌keep on truckin'^_^
Can listen to this Dark Star jam till my last day on earth.
If my ears do not decieve me i think we get an unlisted Feelin' Groovy jam at 16:03...with some capitol theater Beautiful Jam movements thrown in as well. That jam came a year later, but I do hear elements of it. Oh well, if you get confused....man the sound is pristine too. Thanks WOS!!!
???????????????
@@charlesventura3723 'Feelin' Groovy' and 'Beautiful Jam' are chord progressions that pop up here and there throughout the years. They're not quite songs, I'd call it more of a segue or a tangent during the middle of a very interesting story. 'Feelin' Groovy' sounds a bit like Uncle John's Band but is usually a little more up-tempo. As they say, "if you get confused, listen to the music play"
As worthy a Darl Star as they come, by God.
great set thanks for posting-as an aside Zeppelin were at MSG this day-they rocked too. In a different way of course.
Page was a rockstar, Garcia channeled something completely different and otherworldly. Ps Page is my fav but Jerry always reminds me of his brilliant self
Wowza!!! Alright alright alright!!! 🎉
Rhanks
Once again excellent work. I look forward to seeing these
Well,you can hear them anyway......
Fantastic recording
Thanks, @Wallofsound
Fillmore East....what a venue....✌️😎
I can dig it
Thank you from a FE denizen!
This is very good and unique. There is also an aud and matrix.

I probably was at this show. Saw the Dead every time they played Fillmore East starting around this time and always got in free
Lovely.

"Why don't you guys go home and #$% somebody" 🤣
I so wish the next night, 9/20, had a recording this fine! . the recording in existence is ok, not this good
Far out.
What was the venue the played at this night?
See it now. Of course.
EEErrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhh!!!!!

Oh this will work. This will do just real nice.
Damn straight it will! 🤪
They never cease to amaze!
It do, don’t it.
Just left a memorial service for a beloved character here down south and seeing this show/Dark Star (day after Jimi died) is a bit serendipitous and a well needed comfort. Thank you WOS.
Crazy how the Grateful Dead are the soundtrack to so many people’s lives.
my god, what a mix. phil doing crazy runs and scales. bob's rhythm on st stephen is ridiculously precise and clean. seriously, leave your left ear bud in and listen to really understand what i am talking about.
this has always been one of my favorites, but this particular version is much more robust than what i have downloaded. thanks!
This sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. Amazing sound quality ❤️
Folding clothes on a Sunday listening to the best band ever.......Thanks again WOS 👌👌👌
Wow--the Dark Star is a poor man's 2/13/70, but the Not Fade Away is one of the hottest ever--complete with a Bobby/Jerry lead duel, China Cat tease, and Pig chiming in at the end. Epic. Thanks, Wall!!!
Jerry making some real magic here
Let Pig speak, let Phil sing.
What year is it? (That's rhetorical.)
NFA
The Phenomenal set with the ominous missing first set. Definitely a top Dark Star of the year followed by an amazing acoustic set with grisman on 9/20. Love love love the tone.
Thanks for the upload, been a while since i revisited.
one of my favorite casset sides that i would listen to. The Darkness > China Cat jams are the shit.... plus all of it. Thank you for sharing this. I'm loving every bit. effin eah......
I love Bobby's playing
beautiful music..esp the Dark Star. sometimes the dead are rly rly rly fucking good...imho this dark star is def one of these times.
Exquisite 👌💀🌹

My first show was just a month later with NRPS! Thanks for putting this up here!
This is my first time hearing this, but it might already be my favorite dark star medley
Whooo. Pigpen said fuck
