I had a rem700 built with Bartlein barrel it shoots lights out. My next build im doing my self. Im buying a savage action and shilen match prefit. These are all great shooters.
I've got a model 10 heavy barrel with accustock. Interesting groups. My savage right out of the box shot MOA or better. Now that I've worked up loads with 155 and 168 grain hpbt hornady projectiles it rips a ragged hole. Nice to see that savage barrels have as much potential as higher end shilen. Thanks for the vid
That barrels real pretty and all but you gained nothing by buying it. That rifle in it's out of the box configuration is capable of cloverleafs all day long even after long strings of fire. Off bags that rifle can rip a ragged hole. 1/4 inch groups aren't uncommon and easily achievable with a stable shooting platform. But once that shillen burns out you've got an extra barrel. So it's not a total waste. I was never a savage fan til about 2 years ago. Bought a model 12 hb in 22-250. Right out of the box it shot 1 hole groups. My model 10 is just as capable.

Where you buy new barrel? Please information 🙏
Nice barrel man. Shilen barrels are stress relieved so you'll have no poi shifts after a long string. How's it coming along?
Are you sure the rings are high enough? may want to find a riser rail for it
Honestly that scope needs to go in the trash first
Nice rifle

isn't it amazing that when a bullet is outside a tight group it is a flyer, not a shooter error. Hmmm
Those are good groups but the factory savage barrels are capable of better than that.

putting a shilen barrel on a savage is a downgrade. savage is capable of the same groups all day long. dont blame the guy, practice more.
You are obviously not educated on barrels. Shilen barrels have been winning benchrest shooting competitions for many years.
