I love this dude met hin when I was like 12 and he taught me a lot about the game. Blessed me with paint many times. True legend and great friend. True pioneer and amazing artist. 🔥💪
He started in 71. New York writers from the 60's never said they started because of Philly. Comet also got his neighborhoods wrong. He said "University Heights on Broadway in the Bronx". That's incorrect. It's Washington Heights on Broadway in Manhattan which is where Joe 182 and Taki 183 are from.
Top Cat 126 (TC) was a Philly writer who lived in Manhattanville projects. He had the first Broadway-style tag I ever saw in that part of Harlem and was up around the time of Taki.
During the whole interview I just kept thinking “damn, he’s destroying an amazing piece with meh”, apparently you can be a legend and still be mediocre (clearly an unpopular opinion, but good is good and meh is meh) hours of work gone in 15 min
Comet was much more than a whole car King. With Blade he kinged everything, whole cars, all city tags, blockbusters, whole cars galore. There will never be another.
Respect to him being at the fore front of thw graffiti movement. But his letter style has aged so poorly, that 'misty' at the end looks toy beyond belief
I knew him personally son, he is a above you. I knew tons of artists back in the 70s something you'll never know about. RIP ME 3. (Get) LADE/YOU II ←THATS ME

Had to be 2009 ish cuz of the cans
@@baker3person he also said he stopped writing in '86, and then later said 'still got it after 23 years' which would make this 2009
gallery work .

No it hasn’t, you’re just a toy.
Going over that piece was a shame legend or not

1:43 makes it sticky.
The mist effect goes hard.
