Work was filmed in the LA area when ATEEZ was there to perform at Coachella. Though the MV seems random, it's meant to contrast against the lyrics which are about the level of serious effort needed to be successful. The MV has a lot of familiar get-rich-quick imagery like digging for gold, printing money, and golden eggs. There are subtle references too, like Willy Wonka (the golden ticket) and GTA (stealing your way to fortune), but the MV starts and ends with the real key to their success: 1) their members--represented in the opening by their youngest being dug from the ground like a piece of gold (in Korea, when a group's youngest member is super talented, they're referred to as a "golden maknae" ); and 2) their efforts--represented by their oldest emerging from a golden egg saying you gotta make that money. (He's from the Park clan. Legend has it that the first Park was hatched from an egg). Both scenes reflect the lyrics theme that it's not gold that makes wealth, it's effort. I suggest Andy and Jas's reaction, if your curious about the Korean lyrics and culture in the MV. Golden Hour is going a different direction, so Work is an emptier song than a lot of their recent work. I suggest Guerrilla (metal influences) or Bouncy (hype) next.
No ATEEZ mv misses tbh but going to back to the old stuff is probably a good thing and working your way up. Pirate King if you want to see their debut or 'Say my name' and 'Hala Hala' (which is a performance mv if you want to see their dancing skills more) are good choices for their first comeback. More recent bops would be Guerilla (more of a metal rock vibe), Bouncy & Crazy form. Don't sleep on the Japanese releases like Paradigm or Not Okay too. There is a lot of diversity in their discography so take your pick.
Thank you for reacting to Ateez. You should definitely check out Ateez Killing voice

There's also quite a lot of imagery (Americana and some Latino elements) that's an homage to LA/California which is their beloved city.
That's a great explanation! I never paid attention to the youngest and oldest bit!
