I also contacted Yarnspirations when the sign up after the original intro video didn't work and was assured that I had been added to the mailing list. The pattern has still not arrived. for now I am trying to crochet the Afghan by video but finding it difficult without the pattern.
I must say until I came across The Crochet Crowd I had never been exposed to a pattern graph. However now I ‘m sure it has made me a better crocheter. Thank You!!!
Tip: use either stitch markers or a short piece of different color yarn to mark every 4th SC stitch on the 11th round to help with the final round of the first week. I hope as having trouble getting it correct until I decided to do it , even though I had both the 11th and 12th rows stitch count right.

As a beginner I’m very pleased I just finished row 13! Was there a lot of frogging, yes, but that’s how I learn. In the written instructions on row 13, at the beginning it says (1 sc. Ch 2. 1sc). But he doesn’t say to do that in the video. I’m very very confused about row 13. I have watched it over and over and I just can’t get it.

I'm sure someone has mentioned this already: the written instructions for Round 13 doesn't match your video. It starts with (1sc, Ch2, 1sc) AND ends with it also. In the video, you start with a standing sc, and then go right into the TRFPs. I'm sure this is the correct steps, and the written instructions are incorrect. Also, the title above notes "Rnds 1-14." Mikey, I signed up for the pattern but I have not received it, I did sign up late tho, anyway on the video ( left hand) you do rounds 1-13 on the time stamp it goes 1-14 minus row 13. My question is this, next week will you start with round 14? I watched the video over and over thinking I missed a row since the time stamp said 1-14 it was very confusing since I was crocheting along with you with no pattern. I love the pattern so far.

Having trouble in corners. On row8 or 9 with A are you to have 1dc ch 2 2dc in corners and then next row with C the dcfp and dcbp are you to have 2dc ch2 2dc in corners? The second side I don’t end up with a dcfp is it because I have the corner wrong the row before?

Im having the same issues. He said that the chains werent a stitch but how do you then figure 16 dc? Do i skip the chain in row 2 cause he gives some sort of trick to incorporate it in but then says I should only have 16? With the chain that's 17. Im confused and disappointed. I've restarted 4 times and im about to give up.
Melissa Hill If you go to the 3 dots in top right corner (click on it)you have the option to reduce the speed to 75% or more. I find it very helpful and you can still understand the voice. If you reduce it too much it gets “garbled”.
If you look at the corners. The corners are (1 dc, Ch 2, 2 dc). This creates the right count for what's coming up ahead in the pattern. So there is only an increase by 3 sts. If you look at the diagram in Rnd 9, look at the dc in the corners. You will see that. This may help you to see it. :)
Standing stitches are how you join a new yarn for a new row. Standing Single Crochet is not the same as an extended single crochet An extended sc, would be going into the row below. I recently discovered that you can change the playing speed of videos on youtube. I wonder if this might help? You could try playing this at half speed.

Mikey has a funny voice at .25 playback speed. Lol! Love the tip though, his speed is usually fine for me with pausing and tapping to go forward and backwards. I like it especially to get details on how to do a stitch. The two times doesn't change too Alvin and the Chipmunks style - disappointing 🤣

If it's really bad, then stop. But you can block it afterwards.

Hi when it say 37 stitches each side is it from corner to corner as in the 2 in the corner added in and the end of the row 2 in the corner added in.
Yes. The 2 in corners count. The chain sp of a corner isn’t counted.

Colour D is only used once this week. But by the look of the pictures it is used multiple times in other weeks. Hope this helps.
