Really enjoyed the video my friend thank you so much for sharing enjoyed watching your fish catch you on your next one take care your friend Billy Simmons
If thats grass bed and sand holes in that area the trout will be everywhere and the issue with floating live shrimp is the pin fish. 80% of the time the legs of the shrimp get nibbled off and then the bait gets ignored quite often. Living and fishing South Tampa Bay to 10,000 islands I have found artificial baits produce the best fish on the flats and shallow areas. If you have never tried one check out the Yo-Zuri crystal minnows, I find them to catch just about anything in FL waters and have caught some very nice FL reds on them. (Lol nothing like the bulls you catch but for FL not to shabby!)
Beautiful fish! GG’s have come back strong. I foresee being able to start harvesting them again with restrictions. What a stress on the equipment! Fun!
Congrats on 100k man. I have been around for a long time. I love what you are doing. You inspire me to kayak fish but in my country it is a tough thing to afford 😂
Make a boat out of blue plastic 55gallon drums look on Craigslist to buy them and look on UA-cam for 55gallon plastic drum boats. Can be made in a weekend and on the water for cheap
It has been a long time since you last posted, really glad to see you again. Watching your video's is always an adventure for me. Thanks for the fishing excitement!
Great video. Congrats on the well deserved and long overdue 100k! Really happy for you. Just out of curiosity, can you keep those grouper? I've heard they're good eating.
Haha, Elias, last year I went out there after watching this video. My son and I went... It was the worst, most stupid kayaking adventure I've ever been on. I don't think I caught a fish. We did manage to break 1 rod, loose 1 reel, Loose a Rod holder, Get the 120 Auto Stranded in a 1/2 mile stretch of 3 inch water. lol We managed to do this all within about 400 yards from shore. We heard people laughing all the way from shore. lol Don't know how you managed to get where you were but we didn't find that.
I might be finally getting a kayak soon, it's not any fancy PDL kayak but it's a start. if I can I'll attach an electric trolling motor to it for bigger waters.
Do you think that fish generally prefer calmer rhythmic waters? I feel like anytime there a lot of wind and the water is choppy the surf fishing is degraded.
Great 👍 My brother and I always follow your videos, thanks for teaching us. Our question, do you recommend 1/4 or 3/8 jig head for that kind of fishing ??
No way, Elias got skunked for 7 days. Thanks for not posting a bunch of talking and no catching from that trip. Those Goliath Grouper look like a blast to catch.
Damn I was there last week launched from Everglades City caught some nice redfish and the fattest trout I ever saw. Also caught 3 juvenile goliaths, a barracuda, and a bunch of under slot snook. I'm planning on launching from Choko Wednesday to avoid that long paddle across the bay in the wind from EC.
@@saltyskippersportfishing I ended up with 3 nice keeper trout and 2 small snook. Was going to try for a redfish on the oyster bars but the wind was ferocious. Good luck tomorrow! Eta: super low tide this morning I could barely get inside on a kayak! In fact had to get out and tow it over one spot.
It’s funny how you compare the Goliaths on chatterbait to bass fishing which it totally is except that a lot of bass fishermen are using even heavier tackle to catch 2lbs fish!
Drop a lady fish or a little jack on heavy conventional with 130lb leader and there are 50 lbs plus goliaths in those creeks. Biggest trout isolated up in the mangroves where you would catch a snook.
@@EliasVFishing real big trout seem to be loners down there at least. Even back in the 90s when schoolie trout were mostly 13 inches, I would catch a 5 to 7lber every once in a while off a snook tree mixed in with the snook. Also if the water is warm, up on real skinny flats but very hard to approach with a poling platform let alone see and cast to from a low seated position.
CONGRATS on 100k Elias!! Been watching you for years. Well deserved
Nice ! A "scrounger head would fit the bill perfect along with that chatter-bait to give them a little different look....Catch'em up !
From Far rockaway ny ..I was one of the first 5000 followers .Cool to see you at 100000
What a nice sunrise!! 🌅

YES! ready for this trip. I always found the snook there in the evening. big mullet did me well. if you can outlast the bugs!

I would love to see those 17-20 in trout come back around in NJ. Lucky to see one 13 inches these days
NJ? Are you referring to the Weakfish? Not the same as the Spotted Seatrout from this video.
@@FastEddy1959 yes, he knows what I was referring to.
Good one Elias! Im gearing up for trout season here in Pa. Had a good late season as well

@@SSHitMan thanks for the heads up brother, what were you catching them with?? Jig and soft bait?
Congrats on 100K.
Awesome video as always Elias:) was curious do you usually yo-yo retrieve your chatterbaits or do you use a different style retrieve normally
Both!
It’s funny how you compare the Goliaths on chatterbait to bass fishing which it totally is except that a lot of bass fishermen are using even heavier tackle to catch 2lbs fish!
Good job men😁
You are encouraging other to get out. Thank you and congrats!

Hey Elias, your vid resolution looks really good on my TV, what gopro are you using? I have been thinking of getting one.
Drop a lady fish or a little jack on heavy conventional with 130lb leader and there are 50 lbs plus goliaths in those creeks. Biggest trout isolated up in the mangroves where you would catch a snook.
