A tractor or wheel loader with a snow plow will out perform a truck any day. More versatile, can turn tighter and get into smaller nitches. Trucks are ok for big streets and highways but a tractor will beat a truck any day. Yea, a truck can salt but the snow has to move first. 👍
These plows has springs on the cutting edge that makes the blade move up and down, so if it hits cracks or bumps in the road, the egde will jump over that.
How was this even filmed? Unless there were 12+ videographers, the camera operator would have to quickly get into his/her car, catch up to the Valtra and Scania, and overtake them, then stop again, get out and start filming?!?! I guess, if the route was known, there could also be the option of taking shortcuts. Impressive, nevertheless!
First the driver of the valtra called me if I wanted to film them, and then my dad picked me up and headed out to the location where we was going to meet them. And I was in constant contact with the driver of the tractor on Messenger call so I knew where they were at all times and then I placed myself on the right places. I was also told where the plowing route was, so it was easy to catch up with them. Thanks for your comment
Here the tractor seem to do good job but I hate when they use tractor to countryside roads. It is too light for that job and the road surface is all sausage curls.
Which company doing the maintain of the roads in Norway ? It depends on location of the roads or is some national company, which has all roads under its rule ? I'm doing this job in Czech Republic but I would like to know if is possible to try this job in Norway. So I'm looking the information ...
It used be a state owned company, but that is many years ago. Nowadays the different counties arrange a bid offer every now and then, and the contractor with the best offer gets the contract for a period of time. So it varies a lot.

Man Europe has some cool looking tractors, that Valtra is way sportier looking than anything I've seen here in the US
