Not too long ago, my husband gifted me this beautiful 21-key handmade kalimba from Luksor on Etsy. Shortly after I found out that Luksor's from Ukraine, in #zaporizhzhya.
He sent me a beautiful postcard saying "Peace," and took extra care to have the kalimba express shipped.
I thought a lot about that. ❤
In all wars, I believe that those fighting the war are not the ones really wanting it. I have friends from Ukraine, and I have friends from Russia. I know several who have had to leave their country, to be safe.
The least I could do is to honor Luksor for his care and friendliness in sending me this beautiful instrument; which can be considered a symbol of peace and aesthetics in the midst of chaos. ❤
