Town Food, YUUUMMMM. ALTRA, my shoe of choice, love them, best walking/hiking shoes, kinda like walking on a cloud with plenty of room in the toe box. Third gate is a God send. Rattlesnake, bet that was a surprise. Early morning on the trail, great idea to beat the heat and get additional miles. Cozy camp site. Good move, Mikes is interesting but miles are important. Last day into town obstacle course, what fun. Time for a NERO and possible a ZERO. SAFE HIKING
You guys are some of my favorite vloggers this year - I love seeing different people's hikes and how different they are. But you guys just seem so cool. If I could hike along side any group out there, you guys seem like the coolest. Make me jealous.
Really love the sections of trail you show! I have watched so many of these logs and I never get tired of them because everybody says something that’s really important to them that they show so you feel like you’re really getting to see the whole scope of what the PCT has to offer.
Your videos are truly great! Happy to follow you along the journey and really miss the trail. It is very green this year, at least compared to 2015 where we didn`t really have much plants in the desert :D
Thanks for your videos. Very enjoyable. I'll be coming up behind you - starting 5/10. For the Knorr sides, go with the rice. They rehydrate much better than the pasta sides. Also, I learned to cut back on the water. I think I used about 10-11 ounces instead of 2 cups. Keep pushing on.
Have her stretch her IT Band and hips for knee pain. "Chase mountains" has some great youtubes explaining how to do it. Loving your videos. Keep up the good work.
I just started hiking round where I live I have never hiked before and for April I have done 118 miles and all with the lone peak 5.0 they have been magical shoes for me no blisters or feet issues so far ..... I love your videos and your guys hike so far rooting for you from northern idaho!!!
I am really enjoying yalls hike. Your unvarnished and authentic presentation of what it’s like is refreshing...when y’all got to where the break ,showers and laundry was to take place wasn’t what I expected....no hotel room for y’all! Looking forward to your next post. This content is really good. Thanks I...there is something about yalls gear that really concerns me...this is just my opinion....it’s about yalls camp shoes. I admire the thrift , and innovation but they look to me like a problem just waiting to happen...You just invested in some lone peaks to take care of your feet but I am fearful of a stubbed toe or puncture wound to a foot is possible. I know y’all are very weight conscious but an injury to your method of transportation would be an awful thing out on the trail. I repeat this is not a criticism just a concern from a hyper vigilant worry wart who is 67 years old and cares. I am so into yalls walk I just had to .....well I just want everything to go well.
I have the altra 5s and this years new altra olympus 4s. Trying to decide which to carry for.my colorado trail thru hike. I love them both, olypmpus has super cushioning
Hey, I've just subscribed and started watching your videos. Thank you so much! I love that you show a bit of the towns and shops. One question? What tent is that light greenish/grey-ish one? I assume the blue tent is the zpacks duplex? Thanks again, I'm busy catching up on your vids.
I started with the salamon xa pro 3D trail runners. Had a hundred or so miles on them before starting. Used those shoes exclusively on the Appalachian Trail in 2016 without any issues. Either my feet changed on this trail or the shoes changed over the last 5 years.
Thank you for this. I like how you showed the experience in more detail. I’m starting March 18, 2023 and this was very helpful. Cheers!
Awesome chewers are far and few between!
Nice video. Crushing the miles. Keep trekking.

So sad that the Montezuma market burned down 😢
We were so very saddened to hear the news the other day.
Outstanding!
Excellent! ✌🏽💚👍🏼
Life is Good...no doubt.
Yup, confirming the age old adage...hunger is the best sauce😆

I wear the Altras just as my regular everyday shoe, they are awesome!

Great choice of shoes! The Solomons didn’t work for me either.

Blue tent is a zpacks plexamid, and our tent, the greenish one is actually a zpacks duplex.
What shoes did you have at the start? How much had you worn them before this hike? Love the vids. Good for y'all
