Damn true. I own a 745 Turbodiesel and indeed i mostly enjoy the sound of the engine instead of listening to the radio.

I have owned 2 b230ft Volvos and 2 D24tic Volvos and only thing i can say is D24 is good engine if u use it right way. Also the sound makes car more fun to drive even it doesnt have as much power.

Very cool. I am normally a Mercedes man but after watching a few of your vids I think my next car is going to be a volvo d5. You know a great engine swap they love in Finland is the Mercedes OM606. I would love to see you try it. Take a look at black smoke racing. They do great competing with the OM606

Om606 is a 3.0L 90's construction with 174hp, the D24TD is a 2.4L 70's construction with 108hp. Do the math lol

@@swedfilms The 3.5L OM603.97x series (an outgrowth of the original 3.0L OM603.96x series) was said to be Mercedes' worst diesel engine, on par with Oldsmobile's 350 diesel V8. The 3.5L OM603s were called "rod benders" due to their tendency to go through connecting rods whenever the engines made it beyond 150,000 miles or were put to the test on the highway.

Tic är 129hk och sugis är 82
An intercooler would definitely be beneficial. Weird thing though is that specs say the D24T is rated at 109HP and the newer intercooled D24TIC is only rated at 82HP. Such a dope clean 760 TD!!
No the NA d24 has 82 hp, the d24 tic had 122
@@trainslife5638 Damn bringing it back. Yeah thats my bad, looked at the wrong numbers. You never know though with the EPA enforcing new emissions standards robbing the diesel of its HP. In addition to annoying to work on, dealing with DPF's because truck drivers can't comprehend active regens. Amazed how some got their CDL.
