Baths were actually a big help in my depression and actually steered me in the direction of my career. I genuinely believe my love for aromatherapy and even using my cleansing balms etc in the bath created the whole experience for me and lead me to being interested into what ingredients do what for your mind soul and body! I’m a big Oprah fan and she loves a good bath and I feel like bath people are my people! It lead me to become a beauty therapist. Theres nothing better than a relaxing bath or facial! I have had been living with a wetroom for the past year and have even bought a portable bath that has came in so handy for my mood yet we have just been approved for the bathroom to be done. I’ve watched your ritual videos for years and I genuinely believe that also played a big part in my love for having a GOOD bath! Milks and oils are my fave, doing a hair mask, using my cleansing balms, face masks and a great candle with some spa music literally can change your life! Some of my faves are the Elemis Milk Bath 🛁 Aromatherapy associates bath oils, Suzanna Kauffman St John Wort Bath and many many more. ESPA restorative aswell is life changing! So girllll if you ever wanna talk baths I’m just saying 💅 thankyou for helping me fall in love with baths, I love whenever you IGTV Your skin/bath routines or produce a very relaxing youtube video. I love baths too and you sound like an expert so I am wondering - what does a bath milk do besides the scent? And in terms of salts, I get why to use epsom salts but you have to use a cup or two to get the muscle relaxing effect, so I'm wondering what the point is of using small amounts of scented bath salts, again besides the scent? I do love the scents, but is that all I'm really achieving with those products? Thanks for any thoughts you have!!
Alice C it depends on the type of bath milk and it’s benefits but generally it’s to nourish and soften the skin, also a texture preference if you want the water to milky but not oily etc. Cleopatra was known for bathing in milk to help boost the skins moisture. Some bath milks have ingredients such as oat so it can be more for a soothing benefit to itchy or inflamed skin. And as for salts always use the recommended amount like you say for the muscle or skin benefits. Usually with scented bath salts they tend to be essential oils which are known for different aromatherapy benefits. So for instance if you salts were lavender and eucalyptus when you inhale that not only would you be getting benefits such as relaxation from the lavender but eucalyptus can be great for clearing airways, if you have a cold or helping you to breathe deeper. Or like Esteé mentions grapefruit in her salts that is traditionally used for energising 🤗
Alice C also epsom salts are great for muscle pain but a different salt for the bath is Himalayan which has detoxing benefits on the body or dead sea salt is great for dry skin, just like if you were to swim in the ocean sea salt naturally softens skin 😀

Certain brands are actually designed to be used on dry skin and aren’t necessarily damaging like the Tata Harper daily scrub. It only foams up when no water is used, just damp skin necessary 😊

About the salts, and creams. I love the herbivore coconut bath. It’s a powder but isn’t salts and doesn’t leave an oil residue 🙌🏽

I prefer bath salts. I buy huge bags of Epsom salts, keep them in a lovely jar next to the bath. When I go to take a bath, I pour a cup into the lid and drop 10 drops of the essential oil to suit my mood. Love it!

I love love LOVE taking baths! They really do calm me after a long day. Plus, knowing I'm getting Magnesium is awesome. I personally am liking more milky, oily baths. 💕 I always have Epsom salts on hand, and Dr. Bronners almond castile soap. 🥰
Right now I’m using a really lovely bath tea! It’s salts and dried flowers which you scoop into a canvas bag and compost afterwards. It’s from a small independent brand called Fire and Nice
Depending on mood, my bath varies. When I'm feeling playful: bubbles. When I'm feeling angry, annoyed, unsure: bath bomb. When I am depressed: all the essential oils the world has to offer. When I'm feeling anxious: Epsom salts and a truckload of lavender in all its forms.

I do enjoy a good empties video. We are a bath household. I have used those Westlab bath salts, really nice, I need to repurchase. Currently using Better You magnesium flakes, no scent but really relaxing. We go through bottles of MOA fortifying green bath potion, I order from Amazon. Also Trilogy body wash smells great in the bath. Now I really feel like a bath ☺️
I’ve read that you should exfoliate with damp skin, away from the shower head. If you do it on dry skin you could unknowingly damage it.

Estee I recently bought some handmade candles on Etsy you might love! Shop is roseandadder and they are mythology themed outer packaging, with lovely mediterranean inspired scents. Athena is olive oil, Circe is like a black currant, etc etc. So cute.

Love this ! I prefer my baths with plain epsom salt+ magnesium and a milk or oil for scent :) Love the weleda arnica bath soak for sore muscles ! I'm doing a bathroom make over and I remembered you mentioned you had a shower speaker, that sounds like a game changer for amazing baths, so I will definitely get one :D
If you love the Caudalie cleansing oil you should try their cleansing milk, it's so good!

Love baths! I prefer milks, oils and occasionally salts. Not generally a bubble bath fan. But I love Skin Laundry bubble bath and Molton Brown Ylang Ylang shower and bath gel. My guilty pleasure is Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relex oil. So expensive but really works!

I adore baths! I’m embarrassed to tell people how I prefer to bathe vs shower! Showers are for short on time times. Anyway I love bath salts. Not too keen on oils as I feel like I have residue on me and not clean and refreshed. Haven’t found an oil product I like.

I love baths but i try to avoid packaging waste so I only use salts or Aztec clay and do a few drops of essential oil. I try to keep it simple as tempting as all the bath stuff is.

Honestly , I’m not sold on scrubbing my body dry (sounds painful) . BUT I’ve always admired how smooth and soft and moisturized your skin looks , and I’m not even talking your face , I mean like your arms and hands 😂 (not to be a creep) ......soooo I’ll take the advice !!!!!

I like baths but can't be bothered to clean the tub every time I want to take one as I share the tub with another person. When I do take baths I like using Dr Teal's epsom salt foaming bath in lavendar. I bathe in the evening so it's nice to relax before bed. I too love the rose micellar water and the Fresh soy cleanser. I've sort of been on a rose kick this year. Have you tried the Fresh seaberry cleansing oil? It's really nice for removing eye makeup and doesn't leave a residue. Also the Fresh rose oil serum that came out this year is lovely.
