- This video features Danny Fitch driving a Case Quadtrac 540 working at Goole Hall Farm in East Yorkshire, England.
The machine is owned by T D Platt and is working down wheat stubble ready for drilling another winter wheat crop later on.
The previous winter wheat crop which yielded around 5T/Acre was harvested in good conditions and had grown well all season and had produced a lot of grain and straw as well which was baled.
The alluvial silt soil is very fertile and easy working and boils under the tines and discs which you will see in the video.
So the Case Quadtrac & the Watkins Quad-Till had an easy job in levelling the field surface and incorporating all the trash.
Dan had only had the tractor for a few days so was still getting used to setting it up but you will see from some of the close up drone shots that he had the satellite steering set up perfectly as he didn't have to steer the tractor for quite a distance while facing backwards making sure the stubble and trash didn't boil up too much and block his culters.
The following crop of winter wheat looks really well so it did a good job.

Great video as usual Andrew, been looking forward to this one, one of my favourite tractors well matched with a brilliant tillage tool doing a very nice job. Nice to see a guest appearance from your good self at the end but well done some excellent drone flying.
Hi Ian, the Quadtrac was really going well in that field and I really enjoyed piloting the drone for that video, it was just one of those times when all the circling, panning, tilting, climbing and descending all in sequence came together without me getting an attack of fat thumbs on the joystick and creating a wobble 😂😂
