Harley Benton makes a guitar for every type of player. Great video. I look forward to more videos!
Gibson's headstock angle is 17 degrees. The Harley Benton is about 12 degrees. No need for the volute and the guitar will stay in tune a hell of a lot better at 12 degrees. I have the Vintage V100 AFD Paradise which is the same as the SC550. Both are awesome guitars. I installed a Dimarzio Tone Zone and PAF in mine. Awesome demo and love the tone of the EMG pickups!

I have the tobacco burst 550 plus EMG.. First time playing EMG's in a very long time. I've played the standard 80 something series. I have to say the guitar feels amazing, looks amazing, and sounds amazing. I really like these retroactive EMG's. More my cup of tea. they sound great. I ordered the guitar and it was delivered to me in Alaska from Frankfurt Germany in less than 72 hours. That was mindblowing... Biggest disappointment though is I did not get the "rescue my guitars sticker" in this one. :(

These are suppose to be made by Cort now, which would explain why the paint job is perfect and the guitar playing so well.

Good review. The SC550 Plus EMG seems to be a real bargain.
the pickups alone are 200 bucks if you were going to buy a set. Plus the cost of the nice locking tuners they come with. I'm still trying to figure out how on earth they're making money on these...

Sounds great! I plan on getting one when I get the money to do so. I will be getting the SC-550 EMG FTF, though, which speaks to me more, cosmetic-wise.
I agree that a volute would be superb for the neck. The dreaded headstock snap off Gibsons sometimes have scares the pants off this life-long Fender player.
I’m not sure what first song I’ll play, I have months to brainstorm.

Just this week I got a B stock Harley B DC580 SG lookalike from Thomann, My problem is I cannot figure out why it was a B stock, the damn thing is flawless no lumps bumps chips or marks nothing at all! ok it was out of tune, i was totally disgusted by that,,, not!
B stock is that somebody returned it

Can you get a more 'jazzy' sound from the neck pick up by rolling off the tone or sth? To get a very clear, clean , bottle like sound like maybe from a hollowbody jazz machine? At least somewhat similiar.

Does it clean when you roll back the volume knobs?
Is there a difference in sound with the uncovered emg pickups compared to the covered emgs?
How is the string tendin ???soft medium or stuff?
Stainless steel frets?
Are those pickups true branded emg or fake? I mean, i have checked the electronics of the guitar and it doesn't look like those emg "packs"(pickups, potenciometers, etc). Thank you for the answer.

Does it neck dive? How is it standing up
It doesn’t actually have any neck dive from what I could tell which is really handy 👍 unfortunately the guitar has been returned now as it was only on loan to do the review so I can’t test it out. But from what I could tell, it didn’t have any at all 😄👍
