To me, the last movement sounds mostly like the first movement of his piano concerto - like horse race. Instead of 'grandiose' I feel it's bombastic, and not so very listenable. Tiring in its mostly unrelenting harshness, I'm afraid. The first two parts are fine, sound like weeping if you like that. Although, what do I expect from a Ukrainian in the middle of Stalinist Soviet Union...
@@ufkbyfize Well, I know, but as far as the kind of regime it was, there wasn't much difference, wtsas there? All the basics had already been laid down properly by Vladimir Iljits Uljanov, even though he was reputed to have warned people about Yosip Visarionovits. I'd bet that by the time Vladimir Iljits died, Yosip had already been well on the way... to making sure everything would go on smoothly.
