spiderfan1974 He had his troubles but he wasn't "fucked in the head" Kurt had a better look on life than most. He was a troubled man and it's understandable. No one will ever know what happened, but being negative like that isn't a good way to remember him. Unless your a Nirvana hater then your comments make sense
I’m glad I chose to listen to you read Grohl’s words instead of actually watching the Clip from the HS show. It really captured the mood of the whole interview.
You can’t feel what anyone feels.. Our personal journey is always different than anyone else’s. Yet with Kurt we all felt like we knew and understood. And to a degree we can. But Kurt’s journey was different than most. I wish Kurt could have felt he had an option. He was a good human being. He had his dark places like anyone else. But he was good . An angelic soul.. Love and miss you Kurt💜
Sean McGlynn even with no controversy involved she's huge in his death. It doesn't necessarily mean it's her fault. When someone has a depression issue all it takes is one volatile ingredient to say someone of the rails. The drugs heightened and she was an extremely hostile person. While not faulting her, she was the final ingredient in him going over the edge. While there's no guarantee, I'd say he'd have better odds of being alive if he met someone more laid back and low key.

Guess not cos he suffered from lots of health problems and he would not have altered his lifestyle at any way he felt comfortable. That was typically him.
I freaked out when I saw that poster! My brain was like... wow, that looks _SUPER_ familiar... oh duh, it’s because I went to that exact show, on one of those two dates! Lol. It was the only Lollapalooza I went to, and I still have the t-shirt, with it’s faded ink and slightly too large/baggy size (as was the style at the time). I stopped wearing the shirt eons ago, and just kept it as a keepsake - it has that buddha on it too. It sucks so much that there was a chance I could have seen Nirvana play, if only... I really, really wish I could have seen them play live! Anyways, don’t think that all those bands played on both dates. You would have had to pay the extra big bucks to see _BOTH_ show dates in order to see the sweet full line-up. I remember how difficult it was to make the decision for which date to go to because there was just so many great bands, and being in college at the time, I couldn’t afford to see both dates with how damn expensive the tickets were. It was an awesome time though. Would have been more awesome with Nirvana though, and would have made the decision for which date to go to a total no-brainer.
“Take a year off and Kurt to get healthy or get well” I honestly believe that if Kurt hadn’t died in 1994, he would spiralled into a Layne type of situation of simply taking heroin all day and being a loner. My views of course, but I don’t believe if it he would have survived in 94 he would still be alive today, I think the drugs would have consumed him.
Not if he was able to get the proper help mate. Ofcourse he wuld hav to be willing to do that. I wuld much rather he took some time off than the outcome we got.
Well it depends if he wanted to get the proper help. An intervention attempted with him in 1994 failed, and Dave admitted that in the end things got weird in the Nirvana camp. There’s a letter (presumably unsent) that Kurt wrote to Krist in 1994 basically breaking up Nirvana, that he was fed up with the whole idea of it, and he was fully prepared to take the consequences legally of breaking up the band. Presumably this was written while Cobain was on heroin so who knows how he would have felt sober. I can find the link if you want, it’s a fascinating little read of his apathy with the entire scene and being in Nirvana in general. The basic situation is, would Cobain have been able to kick heroin. In the hypothetical scenario, he probably would have divorced Courtney, moved out, and attempted to make a fresh start. Who knows, but I just feel even without Courtney, he had too many junkie friends to tempt him back.
Bellocks1 I would like that link so I can read it. I dont know if it’s something I’ve already read before or not lol We will never know what Kurt would have become of Kurt and or nirvana It’s fun to guess and assume but we will never know.
Dan and Lilly’s Beard Product Reviews m.imgur.com/utffN68?r there you go I do find it funny that Kurt labels Krist as a drunk (although probably true, he seemed sloshed a lot in interviews), it’s ironic coming from a seasoned heroin addict like Cobain.

Just listen the last concert in Munich Kurt's health was terrible and company was still pushing him for more and more I remember once he said "what do you all want from me do you want my death?"
That's because nirvana was epic for the time The start of the 90s decade Generation x breaking out Now being 43 I find nirvana a bit juvenile and over rated But at the time, I was huge fan Foo fighters are Sloppy Music is inaudible The instruments just mesh together with no defining elements Dave's vocals are average But not stand out Over all evaluation Foo fighters suck
Such a waste of a talented, empathetic, beautiful Soul. I struggle with the same demons my two Idols (Layne and Kurt) did and their music has always helped me pull through when all I wanted was to dive into that void. Gone way too soon but forever in our hearts💜🤘🏻.
That's a not uncommon story. The unknown hungry band signs contracts they don't comprehend, then down the road realize they don't have any autonomy and are stuck on the road for years at a time. Most people aren't built for that, and it's taken so many of the greats. Yes, Dudeman, we could make a long list of folks who given a lengthy vacation, a chance to get clean, and be with friends and family, would be alive today.
When Kurt said he didn't want to share his royalties anymore, plus he said he want the royalties paid to Dave and Christ back, that would probably stress the whole situation...
My buddy's brother was there. My parents and my buddy's wouldn't let us go with him bc we were 12 lol. They ended up letting us go to the Pumpkins show with him at Reunion a few years later tho. And that same year, at 15, we went to see RATM at Starplex. My parents were pretty cool, I guess. I get it tho. I shouldn't be at a concert without my parents at 12. It makes sense now. But when he died, I told my parents "SEE! You should've let me go! Now I'll never see them!" The only show I ever saw at FP was 311 on the Transistor tour. My lucky ass little brother saw Pantera there on the Extreme Steel tour, I think it was. He still rubs that one in my face to this day lol.
@@boofert.washington2499 That is a pretty cool story we definitely were lucky to have been around at that time. I saw the Pumpkins to and met them outside the Bomb factory and they signed my Jimi Hendrix T shirt , Billy Corgan drew a pumpkin, and Jimmy was with two fine chicks. I saw Rage the fist time at lollapalooza in 93 and the opened it was the biggest stage rush I ever saw!
You Know You're Right is the divorce letter to Courtney Love. 90% of the music of Nirvana was completed or even just written in the 3.5 years with Tracy Marander and in the year with Bikini Kill. In the 24 months of marriage with Courtney Love, Kurt wrote 'Locked inside' ( Heart-Shaped Box), 'Married Burried' (All Apologies), and 'I Will Move' (You Know You're Right). In March 94 right after the tour got broken off, Kurt Cobain adjusted his attorney to file the legal divorce of his marriage. You Know You're Right is the divorce letter to Courtney Love.
I agree with you on You Know You're Right and All Apologies but Heart Shape Box was written about Courtney's Vagina. That and for the majority of other songs you cant put too much into his lyrics because he has stated multiple time. He is and was very lazy when it came to writing lyrics. Some songs yes he would work on for hours but for the majority of others he would work on last min just because they had a deadline. So just for future reference with 9 out 10 of his songs. You cant put too much thought into. Cause that's one thing that used to annoy Kurt so much that people who put so much meaning into all of his songs when of them really were just passages and phrases that were taken from old poems and journal entries that he decided for fit in that song.
I can see that being true, but, many Courtney supporters will SWEAR they were in LOVE still, he was the Yin to her Yang so on and so forth. Maybe she wasn't the total hell bitch many have said she is, especially not now since she is sober, BUT, I can see her being out for the money back then. Her dad was the worst excuse for a dad that ever crawled the earth, and MAYBE that is why she is all for herself, or was back then. I've seen good people get really ugly in divorces, so maybe a not so good person can be REALLY bad. None of us outsiders will ever know the true story about Courtney and Kurt and how things happened in the end. Frances Bean maybe doesn't know even. She wasn't around her mom until she got clean and Frances was much older, I heard that Courtney wanted to spend that money that Frances inherited and got once she reached a certain age, maybe her 20's? Maybe Frances is supporting her mom now? IDK.
@@TranKQuiLL2024 That makes alot of sense, many song lyrics were mentioning things about his life, "it's okay to eat fish cause they don't have any feet" in Something in the way is a snippet about how he was homeless and lived under an overpass. I have a small book about Nirvana that makes a small bit of sense about some of the lyrics. I do NOT remember the name of that book though. It was a very thin little book. I have books everywhere and I am too tired and lazy to look now.
Laurie Sherrill IKR. According to Francis‘s ex-husband, she tried to have him killed too! It was to get that “unplugged” guitar back...which was recently auctioned for like $4 million.
Call it 'was found dead' - but great thanks for putting out 'We Needed A Break' . A band needs a simple break. Like all bands possibly do in the right moment. Very simple. No Drama.
They didn’t tour straight through by any sorts. After the Australian/Japan tour in early 1992 they only played 21 shows for the next 12 months till Feb 1993. This fact is widely known and referenced. If they would have toured hard during 1992 “Nevermind” would have been even bigger. Even the last year of his life April 93 - March 94 they played 74 shows. So that’s less than 100 show in close to 750 days. Please don’t get me wrong I LOVE NIRVANA. I’m a Nirvana historian and saw them in Houston. I like facts and numbers. They play WAY more before the Nevermind times on tour and around Seattle. Worked harder too. All the game stuff, health issues, drugs, and that monster piece of shit wife ruined Kurt’s life. I wish he had never dumped Tracey Marander.
you made me literally cry, hearing your words and the way you said them about just taking that time - to take a break, even for a short while, a year, which is nothing for today's bands to do. And don't forget about the non stop touring BEFORE and leading upto Nevermind, the official tour schedule with back to back shows, maybe a day off every 8 or 9 days but constant touring. They were like slaves really, in my opinion on the rampant touring. Not to mention Kurt was homeless the week Nevermind came out after busting his ass on tour, living in that van, eating crap, sleeping in places not fit for humans, if they even were able to pay for a place. They had no support out there on the road, either for the most part, they were all they had truth be told.
Time off would have helped, but the guy was addicted to one of the hardest drugs there is and in a tumultuous marriage. And from the interviews I've heard, almost everyone around him was doing drugs too. You can't quit under those circumstances. He would have needed to cut himself off from almost everyone he was close to and put Nirvana on an indefinite hiatus, in order to have just a chance at quitting. Even if Nirvana decided to screw the record companies and take a year off, eventually, he would have OD'd, unless he was 100% committed to quitting and willing to turn his entire life upside down and start fresh.
the band didn’t need time off. kurts addiction was the end of him. he lied in every interview, his journals document what really was happening. he knew that he wouldn’t be able to do withdrawals and get better because he thought heroin and death were an easier way out and he knew it. the heroin ended him
Kurt took 9 months off from touring after neverminds release and they barely played any shows during that time. Only during the first 3 months after its release. Red hair kurt snl, mtv.. then Only small local clubs in la where kurt and courtney lived. Dave and Kris were both in washington. The 1992 Reading fest short hair kurt was their first big show after a 6 month break from playing music together. Kurt played live once during that 6 months and it was w/ mudhoney at their show and then he did ]eadbelly solo. Then they recorded in utero w brown hair kurt and did s american tour. Took a small break before mtv live and loud and unplugged time with back to blonde long a tad bit cleaner hair kurtand after went on European tour which ended shortly before Kurt OD in Rome, which was shortly b4 he killed himself in Seattle. Kurt turned down roughly 9 million to headline Lollapalooza shortly before his death. People, managers, bandmates, lawyers, spouses, ect... were pissed cuz it was big easy payday. Meanwhile dude just wanted to get high in a closet and play acoustic guitar. For a huge band they didnt tour much, even back then when record sales meant something. So kind of misleading to say they constantly toured. They were big for less than 3 years 9 months of which they were on a media blackout after vanity fair article and not touring.
The machine doesn't know what it takes to produce music from your soul. And you hear it in every artist words. Where it's real. And what the machine wants you to hear
I agree by March of 1994 they needed time off from being on the road for 6 months but its NOT true that they didn't take breaks since Nevermind in 1991. They had breaks, they didn't really tour at all in 1992 other than a few shows in early 92 to finish the Nevermind tour and then they took a break for a few months to come back in the summer of 1992 just to play a few festival shows then another break. They also didn't tour in 1993 until September.

Correction. Kurt took at least half of 1992 off. Its well documented. Kurt was fragile besides being a drug addict most of the last 3 famous years of his life. Besides something no one ever seems to bring up. He was obviously clinically depressed. That's why he killed himself. Part of him wanted to be famous & drug addicts just want another fix. So it's neither of those reasons. They're not suicidal because they're an addict.

First time i heard "you Know you're right" I got a feeling of an anterior stuff unrealised, putting it in the right time gives me an "out of gaz" feeling. The songs Dave made on the first FF album were clearly a Nirvana's possible new direction, i wish Kurt could have sung 1 or 2 of theses. Something easy and lightweight wouldn't have been bad.
Kurt was keeping it together. Dependent but still functioning, even after a grueling 3 years of work and turmoil. He had tremendous pressure on him, but he was tough as nails. He was trying to walk away and get sorted. He trusted the wrong people. He didn’t realize it, then he probably couldn’t quite believe it. Rome damaged his brain. Too long without oxygen. He tried to take control, but who could he trust after the intervention? He was alone. Everyone was attributing his behavior to smack. So easy their explanation. It was much more complicated and who could he trust? Then, he went and got high. When he nodded out, someone gave him two more shots... one from a needle and one from a gun.
@@dusdincorleone yes if you'd actually do your fucking research like the dedicated people who are looking into this with logic diligence, he was slipt date rape drugs in his champagne in Rome Italy, he DId NOT intentionally overdose himself that is proven now however he suffered from some brain damage and none of you would know that becuase you run your god damn mouth and at best only read the factiscious autobiographies about kurt cobain who's writers got their information mostly from his wife which had a slice in the pie of his organized hit.

there was probs still a lot of demand from labels and fans n stuff, kurt was a cynical mf and i could imagine how he might have felt patronized by everyone. but i wasnt even alive in the 90's so what do i know
What are you talking about they'd done 3 straight years? Have you forgotten about bleach & all the festivals & tours they did on that record? More like they'd done 6 straight years. Nirvana wouldn't of even got a shot if it wasn't for Sonic Youth repeatedly insisting their record label should sign them.
Well aware of the time they had put in. Would actually be longer than 6 years. The 3 years is the time that Nevermind broke to Kurts passing. Their time in the mainstream.
The October 93' live version is more powerful and moving to me. Considering everything, the fact that no one had heard it before. Obviously knowing it was close the end adds to it. However you feel he passed.
No kidding. It's such a massive loss. I'd like to imagine what Kurt would think of music today lol Or if music would've gone in a different direction than where it is today. As I've grown older I look at Kurt a bit different than I used to. He was suffering massively and active addiction is one of the worst things a person can be in. I would really like to hear what Nirvana would sound like in 1996 or 1997! There could've been so much awesome artwork! Ok. Time to get back to reality 😔😒 🤪😁

Sorry but I disagree on the constant touring Nirvana did over the 3 years from 1991 to 1994. "Nevermind" through to "In Utero". Nirvana really didn't do much touring at all, that is in comparison to most other Bands. Nirvana did most of it's touring before "Nevermind" went crazy on the charts. But from February 1992, through to September 1993, they only played sporadic dates over the 18 or 19 months. During June 1992 they tried to finish the European dates which were cancelled earlier, and Nirvana played a handful of shows before cancelling again. Then they played "The Reading Festival", MTV awards, Seattle, Argentina, maybe a couple shows in between, then in January 1993 Nirvana played those 2 big South American shows in Brazil. After that they recorded "In Utero" in February 1993, which took 2 weeks. In April 1993 they played the Cow Palace in San Francisco for Bosnian Rape Victims, (I think that's correct). In July 1993 they played the Roseland Ballroom, and in August they played another benefit show for Frank Zappa, (If I'm right or wrong about that I'm not 100% sure). In September Nirvana played "Saturday Night Live". So clearly very sporadic touring from Nirvana. After Nevermind exploded most bands who release an album of that success would be constantly touring. It was released in September 1991, and it became Number.1 in January 1992. Yet touring was finished essentially by February 1992 in Honolulu, Hawaii. On October 18 1993 through to January 8 1994 Nirvana toured North America & a few Mexico shows in there and Canada of course. Then Nirvana had virtually 1 month off before starting the European Tour on February 4 1994. Then as most people who are Nirvana fans know, on March 1st 1994, after that last show, that European tour was cancelled etc, and the rest is history as we all know. Kurt never ever wanted to tour In Utero in the 1st place, he was pressured by the band understandly so, the record label, managers, and management. So a Band like Nirvana who had & still have a very big following, and huge momentum going for them, they could have killed it, if they had they toured for another year or so straight for the "Nevermind" album. But it was what it was. The same could be said for "In Utero". Dave Grohl has gone on record to say, "In Nirvana, we really didn't tour that much, compared to most other bands with similar, or that of a Band with the same success would and should Tour". Kurt Cobain was sick with his stomach issues, and also his Heroin addiction, which obviously was a big reason for shortened tours, cancelled tours, etc, etc. I'm a huge Nirvana fan, I'm 30 years old and for 18 years, I've been a huge fan of their music and Kurt's writings and poetry. Anyways sorry for the long winded comment I wrote, I just thought I'd try my best to clarify a few things, that were not 100% accurate. As it was Kurt Cobain probably had too much time to himself, in regards to him having no time with the supposed constant touring that didn't really happen. Cheers from Tom, from Sydney NSW Australia.
He wouldn’t of left Frances without a father. It’s jus a lil funny that he was about to cut Courtney out of his will before he died, but never got the chance, and now she’s still living off his money #justiceforkurt
I always believed that Krist and Dave had mutually agreed to end Nirvana. However, Nirvana lost their lead singer and main songwriter, whatever came after wouldn't have been Nirvana, even if they kept the name.
The fans only see their favourite stars/bands/actors doing their thing and entertaining the audience. But we usually don't see the pressure, the contracts, the labels, the money, the fights, what fame does, depression, drugs and so forth. If thousands or millions of dollars are connected to you acting in a movie or doing that album or playing that tour, you can't back out. Even if that would mean serious health damages. So sad. And fans? Do they ignore it most of the time? I read that the most creative people are those who suffered tragic stuff in their lifes. But maybe the reason why these people don't follow normal paths and work normal jobs is that they want to conpensate their trauma by becoming rich and famous. Also I strongly believe that people like Kurt Cobain, Chester Bennington or Amy Winehouse shouldn't have become famous. Being in the spotlight is tough, super tough. Being burdened with a tragic past you should not go into public and sing about it. It doesn't make things better.
In late 1993-1994 Kurt complety changed to different person(it's like some dark spirit swap his soul). Not like before had many smiles , make a joke with his teamate.
Nirvana’s last concert of 1992 was 30 October in Buenos Aries, Argentina and the In Utero tour started on 18 October 1993. But Nirvana played just five public concerts in this period, including two one off fundraising shows. They didn't need a rest. They needed a lead singer who was not addicted to heroin
If Kurt was still alive and got the help he needed and his divorce went through, I still think Nirvana would’ve broken up and never reunited, Dave, Pat and Krist would’ve went on to make Foo Fighters and Kurt would retreat into solitude to raise Frances-Bean as a single father. Maybe and this is a big maybe he releases You know you’re right as a single or he has a solo career. but that’s how I think it would’ve went down.
Probably not if you are on heroin. You have to be physically fit and pass the insurance health exam etc. The insurance would likely cover for something like this. The Michael Jackson criminal case dabbles in this topic and was the subject of lawsuits that came later. Everyone blaming everyone else.
They actually didn’t tour never mind in the us. Their first show after never mind was headlining reading in 92 was rio in early 93” then did inutero u.s.tour end of 93 then Europe in 94. So they didn’t go non stop he took over a year off.
I think Kurt would have wanted Dave to do Foo bc he liked the Demos that Dave played for him. That would have given Kurt time off from Nirvana w no pressure to return. He could do side projects if he wanted in the future or written new Nirvana material, solo album etc.
Dave is full of shit on the "time to take a break" front. Besides CLove, Grohl was a DRIVING force on pressuring KC to do Lollapalooza. He was still very bitter about the royalties split and the potential money from Lollapalooza was very important to him. I'm not saying he was right or wrong for that but I'm telling you, that's what it was.
When people want to be "famous" they don't factor in the physical labor involved. I don't think Kurt had a clue how much stress & work was required and how soul-killing it was playing the same list of songs over & over in different cities. The creative part is small by comparison. Add in mental instability, drugs, chronic pain & a fucked up relationship and it's a recipe for disaster. But most people only blame the relationship for his death. Pathetic. The fact that he couldn't kick the drugs & got dragged in the tabloids, causing him to almost lose his daughter was a level of shame he couldn't handle. And a possible divorce on top of that? Doesn't take a genius to understand what went wrong. But most people are nowhere near geniuses so here we are :|
It baffles me, the guy 100 percent pursued fame with his band and got it then hated it. Just like Eddie Vedder. Don't want to be famous, don't go after it. What did he think it was gonna be like?
Yes, he pursued fame. You don't sign a recording contract, put out an album and tour the world looking to be a huge band for the hell of it LOL. You're seriously trying to tell me he was not trying to pursue fame and fortune with his band. You don't get in a band, release albums and perform in public to play to chairs. Don't want your band to be famous, stay in your basement ;)
Some people think it’s what they want but can’t handle it when It comes. But some play for the fun of making music and sometimes the fame comes with the success.
@@davidsolinski2988 that's precisely what I am saying, he was not trying to pursue fame. Fame may have found him, but he wasnt trying to become to where he was unable to walk down the street. Making music in order to make a living is quite different than pursing music to eventually become more famous than Micheal Jackson (at the time). Kurt hated the fact he was famous like he was. Everyone knows that. Smh 🧐
Hi Good Soul, maker of this video and your other great outputs, we think these are real good outputs - standing far out in the ( as we think) not so outstanding majority of other features on the net - but please edit 'took his life' and 'suicide' for 'passed away' and 'died'. Just for fairness for the artist, as a return for his courageousness and determination - that gave us a lot
I read some of the comments and saw nothing alluding to the fact that Kurt was possibly killed. The investigation was a sham and they didn't care, but the forensics showed the the shell casing was on the wrong side of the room for the logical way to kill yourself with a long shotgun. Not to mention lots of other circumstantial evidence that showed he was probably avoiding Courtney, and quite possibly having an affair with her bass player. The PI Courtney hired recorded every conversation with her, and HE was convinced she had something to do with him passing because she wouldn't have gotten anything if he divorced her due to a pre-nuptual agreement. He loved his daughter, his stomach condition had been diagnosed and fixed, and he was happier than ever by many accounts.
The amount of heroin he had in his system at the time was way to much for him to be able to even pull the trigger. Courtney had motive. And you’re right, he would leave frances without a father
Doubt he asked for it. Like 2 days beforehand he checked in to a rehab then escaped over the fence when he could have walked out the front door. He knew they were going to get him and tried to throw them off. How it looks to me anyway.
I really don't know who did it. Just don't see it being suicide. I do notice a trend of musicians that aren't under establishment control committing "suicides" that don't make sense or get a real investigation. Chester and Chris being the most recent I can think of.
Another thing is all the h in his system at the time. I used to be on drugs pretty hard, clean now thank you Jesus! Point is an addict doesn't hit a suicidal low right after banging his dope, that comes after the high is gone. Just sayin.

Kurt's main health problem was Courtney

@@seanmcglynn3638 not at all.

“Take a year off and Kurt to get healthy or get well”
I honestly believe that if Kurt hadn’t died in 1994, he would spiralled into a Layne type of situation of simply taking heroin all day and being a loner.

That's a not uncommon story. The unknown hungry band signs contracts they don't comprehend, then down the road realize they don't have any autonomy and are stuck on the road for years at a time.
@@TranKQuiLL2024 Oh, ok.
Yeah, he’d still be here with us if he would have stayed with Tracey. :(
you made me literally cry, hearing your words and the way you said them about just taking that time - to take a break, even for a short while, a year, which is nothing for today's bands to do.
I've got an original 1992 nevermind t-shirt
He definitely should have pulled out... From Courtney Love!
too bad they didn't made it for Lollapalooza
it would have been another iconic Lollapalooza Event
Kurt should have stayed with Tracy then he wouldn't have met Courtney
Actually Kurt should of never went home.
Yeah
eyerishroses yeah
Done a shit load of touring from 89. Great video keep these up vert interesting
I got a Nirvana ad.
I wish Mary Lou stayed in London with him and went with him for the rest of the tour but you know she also had a full time job
If you go by the HBO documentary Kurt took months off just staying locked up with Courtney love. So technically they didn’t tour nonstop since 91.
Damn! Had he just taken the time off, just damn.💔
Chris Simpson yea.. and not met that Bitch! (She got him killed scum bag)
In late 1993-1994 Kurt complety changed to different person(it's like some dark spirit swap his soul). Not like before had many smiles , make a joke with his teamate.
Yeah it's cause of the heroin
Narrated by Lars Ulrich?
Nirvana’s last concert of 1992 was 30 October in Buenos Aries, Argentina and the In Utero tour started on 18 October 1993. But Nirvana played just five public concerts in this period, including two one off fundraising shows.
They didn't need a rest. They needed a lead singer who was not addicted to heroin
Cool cd.
This dude just sounds like a grunge singer
If Kurt was still alive and got the help he needed and his divorce went through, I still think Nirvana would’ve broken up and never reunited, Dave, Pat and Krist would’ve went on to make Foo Fighters and Kurt would retreat into solitude to raise Frances-Bean as a single father. Maybe and this is a big maybe he releases You know you’re right as a single or he has a solo career. but that’s how I think it would’ve went down.
But wait, how does that work? Why were bands sued if they pulled out of a tour?
Probably not if you are on heroin. You have to be physically fit and pass the insurance health exam etc. The insurance would likely cover for something like this. The Michael Jackson criminal case dabbles in this topic and was the subject of lawsuits that came later. Everyone blaming everyone else.
You know, you're right!
I don´t care what Dave thinks unless it´s about Kurt.
Non stop since -91? More like since -86-87
You're going to be unwell when you self treat stomach problems with heroin
They actually didn’t tour never mind in the us. Their first show after never mind was headlining reading in 92 was rio in early 93” then did inutero u.s.tour end of 93 then Europe in 94. So they didn’t go non stop he took over a year off.
I think if Nirvana broke Foo fighters would start anyway
But most people are nowhere near geniuses so here we are :|
Yeah, imagine touring the world with adoring fans and getting paid millions. "Soul-killing."
It baffles me, the guy 100 percent pursued fame with his band and got it then hated it. Just like Eddie Vedder. Don't want to be famous, don't go after it. What did he think it was gonna be like?
Pursued fame? Really? How much do you actually know ab nirvana or kurt for that matter dude?
Smh 🧐
Over-simplification much?
Kurt didn't want to do Lollapalooza at all. Courtney was making him for the million dollars they offered him.
You wrong, ¿Millón? 10 millions!
Just so sad.. RIP KURDT
Sounds like Lars Ulrich is narrating this.
He didnt take his own life, it was taken from him
Exactly
Just sayin.
Well said👍👍
Lars Ulrich doing narration on this?
Imagine if John Lennon could still perform Imagine. Harsh is life. If life was candy and nuts,we would all have a happy Halloween. I'm just priveledged to have NIRVANA music in my life. There are some "positives".,Foo Fighters music,Courtney has basically disappeared, and Francis Bean Cobain is well.Krist Novoselic politically involved for freedom as well.
What could've been... 😔
That’s not actually correct they didn’t tour 1992 after never mind was the biggest thing in the world. Kurt stayed home and did heroin with Courtney. Only playing reading festival. They actuall didn’t tour until in Utero in the summer of 93
Cortney didn't kill Kurt, the music industry did
OMG, he could have just quit. Don't blame the industry.
@@makeupchick9544 you can't just leave the music industry at that point, they will take everything you have and can do in the future... It happened anyway which is sad. Lucky things have changed now. We'll never know the real reason why some would commit, but pressure from the industry has caused people to get deeper into drugs, it's well documented
Courtney was pissed Kurt pulled out of Lalapalooza because he lost 9.4 Million from that !!
One of these days your heart will stop
Dave and Krist was offended when Kurt has take royaltys on himself. Really dont understand why, it was his band, he was alpha and omega, they were just rhythm section directed byKurt as he had all in his mind, Utero was more influenced by them but thats it really. Because off such attitude Chad Chaning wasnt ever even in band, thats his words. Most important too is that they had own lives much different than Kurt, i bet Kurt comprehend them as true friends and realized they are phoneys as everyone at end... I really feel that they didnt feel dirty as Kurt, they had space Kurt didnt even in private life...Kurt was like a shadow, always behind or on a side but here...Still is, they not at all
It's excruciatingly sad that Kurt didn't have anyone looking out for his interests and tell everyone to f**k off. He was ill and needed time off. Now that break is forever.
What was the point of an intervention if not for him to get well and off heroin?
I don't understand how people say oh just imagine if we had many more years with Kurt, be greatful he was around that long. Kurt wanted to end Nirvana he wanted to buy a castle.
This video is wrong as well Nirvana were touring long before nevermind and Dave joining the band, Courtney love was attacking him over not doing the tour Kurt was done.
Kurt couldn't get healthy stomach problems were stopping it, it sounds a lot like Kurt has chrons disease in his stomach. It is one disease really hard to diagnose and can effect you from your ass hole to your throat.
Fuckin Tyler from Secureteam 10 from his jail cell apparently, trying to disguise his voice slightly but he can’t change the way he phrases words. Wtfigoh
