Cocoa farmers in St Lucia, West Indies, are getting 2.47 USD per kg for their wet beans, a price which was set in December 2020.
    Is this fair?

This is really tough for some small company like us who are very reliant in supplies of Cacao beans, Here in the Philippine wet beans are so crazy high it scary if to think if our regular customers will still patronize the new prices of our finish product. Sure its crazy money for the farmers but will this be good for the Cacao market in the future or are we seeing a bubble pops?

I wonder if cacao beans could be grown in your country then. Lots of plants are not grown in every country with suiting conditions, because there's no such tradition. In Europe there are plenty of such suitable plants, like guavas, papayas, pecan nut-trees, etc that are not grown here, because it never was

@@jajajaja2606 cacao grows in the Philippines..it’s been here since Spain occupied it and brought this tree from South America. There are several different plantations and mostly is in Davao but there are others in Visayas as well.
I have several as well but only a handful of mature ones. I’ve just started planting more this year.

Any cacao from Thailand or Tanzania so that would pass through the Red Sea for Europeans, the Palestinian Holocaust is causing a shipping blockade by Yemeni allies
