Can’t believe they didn’t add the screwdriver option like the Milwaukee fastback or the Klein. I like dewalt but probably gonna stick with my fastbacks which I have many because I literally use it everyday including the screwdriver option.
I have the DeWalt utility knife with the added blade storage ...I carry it in compliment to my Leatherman everyday. I use the added blade storage to carry 1 extra utility blade for back up and then I have a hook blade, and a serrated blade in there...that way with a quick simple swap I can take on what ever I need to with the best blade option.
So l already did some mods on mine. I moved the pocket clip to the other side but after tightening it she was loose. So I took down a little where the screw goes in with my dremel so when the screw settles on the clip it is nice and tight. Then I went to the opposite side where the little slot is that appears to be for a lanyard. For some reason there is a tiny screw in there serving no purpose. I put a little pressure on it and it popped out. I made a nice short black lanyard through it and it worked great.
I just picked up the smaller utility knife without the extra blade storage. I like the lighter thinner option and usually start out with a fresh blade I can flip if I one side gets dull. I love the Fastback in my hand but it can be aggravating to get unclipped sometimes because of the big lump under the clip. Especially when clipping it to a tool pouch with a heavy seam. The DeWalt doesn't have that lump and is easier to get into my hand without having to fight with it.
Thank you for the tool reviews Mr. VCG, I recently purchased my Sitivien ST138 from Amazon through 704 tactical. Very nice purchase it is my daily right now.
@VCG Construction. Thanks Vince for the thorough review of those new Dewalt folding and utility knives. Please let us know how they hold up over time. We'll see if they go on sale this Christmas. I have utility knives that have that strap/string cutter feature. I keep forgetting they're there. Love shop kitty. Keeping you and your family in my daily prayers.
My new EDC is by a brand I just discovered and they are incredible for the price. Sitivien ST139, comes sharper than your standard razor knife blade and it holds an edge. Got it half price for $15. Knife guys are liking them better than their Benchmades.
Can’t wait for the first knife to be available in my country. My Milwaukee fastback is in my bag I carry every but it’s a little too big for my pocket. The DWHT10991 seems a lot slimmer and when I need a screwdriver, there’s always one in my bag.
I like these new ones. My usual daily carrys have been the newer Milwaukee models. They flip open and close very smoothly. I've had bad experiences with DeWalt brand utility knives and pocket knives for some reason. Being that I love DeWalt so much I'll probably have to give these guys a try. Funny fact, I recently found out Festool makes a high end pocket knife for sale on eBay for $68.00. has a wood handle but no quick release. Thank you for the review on these DeWalt's. 🤠👍💯👌❤️🇺🇲
I usually carry my Kershaw spring-loaded knife with me everywhere. But not going to use it for work because of the price so I use the Milwaukee either Fastback are there regular pocket knife and we never had any issues. I own one of the DeWalt knife which has a quick deployment where you use your finger to open the blade but I really like the spring-loaded knives the best and we'll just have to wait the knives are in stores because I like to hold a knife before buying.
The first 2 look just like the Milwaukee fast back knives I have. Same style of opening, small one just has 1 blade, larger has the blade storage area. Pretty near copied, but I do like more options. I love the Milwaukee ones, don't see why these wouldn't be just as good. 👍
@@VCGConstruction Have you seen the atomic series mini dewalt utility blade? It has a push clip instead of button to actuate the blade. Wonder why there isn't any reviews its only $9
No lanyard hole and no screwdriver but holder. I’m sure they plan on a mod 2 version and then a mod 3 . But it’s good to see they are finally into the utility knife game. It took a while.
I think everyone should carry a knife on them at all times, not only for work or even for protection but you could have a unforeseen scenario where you may come across a car accident where if you needed to cut a seatbelt for even use the back of the knife to help break a window or even for cutting a apple. You don't realize how much you use a pocket knife until you don't have one on you that's why it's important to get a quality knife and knife sharpener.
I try out the five blade storage new DeWalt raisin knife and it has a defect where the blade will not sit all the way home when you try to insert it. I returned the one I bought the sales person help me take another one off the shelf in same thing, the blade will not completely bury itself in the housing, which makes it impossible to close And
Dewalt vs millwakee fastback showdown coming ? Hey Vince I know your a knife guy , I’m a knife guy. is Dewalt just cornering the marketplace for basic users who aren’t?
I usually just use the Milwaukee Fastback razor blade but the one with the screwdriver comes in handy. Have four different Milwaukee knives and the one that has the exposed razor blade along the back I guess it's for cutting string don't see the reasoning when you're holding a knife in your hand. But most important is that bottle opener because that always comes in handy and that's what makes it the best.💯👍
Bought this when it first came out and I lov it nice size and the blade storage is great

Screwdriver is great. But I like having teh bottle opener on my fastback. Dewalt should have included that feature. Its easy enough to add.
My daily work carry-Small Milwaukee hardline clipped on pocket and small swiss army knife in pocket

Wow the price is certainly seemingly great. I love my fastback but for $13 I may try to utility w storage. Not loosening much if it isn't as good

Razor knives with the deep carry will work great in a tool pack.
My daily carry in my tool bag is a basic Milwaukee folding utility knife.
aint gonna lie i looked all over and my all time favorite is the Fiskars Pro Folding Utility Knife
Mannix 2, boker subcom neck knife, Kaiser mini sheep dog EDC❤

Cool video, but I’m still waiting on the DeGANG shirts in medium

They've had utility knives out for years bro
I brought a Dewalt DWHT0 10313
8CR13MOV Steel 15$ (Made in China)
That's the best edged weapon or tool I ever had in my hands
That "rope cutter" you're referring to is actually a seat belt cutter. Every LEO knows of an instance where that can be a lifesaver.
I believe that slot is to strip insulation off wire!
YOOOO, Vince, your boy Flint got his package from DeWalt first and beat you to the punch with a video on these. 😆👍
nice video.. where do you buy the box set you shown in the video?

And
What watch band is that brother?
KORDIZ Titanium Watch Band T01 (Max)
Thx for the video interesting
Glad you enjoyed it!

I love my camo milwaukee fast back
Need a drinking game for this video.
Everyone you say “knife” we take a drink 😂
You drunk yet?
I carry a little more umph on my belt and it stays sharp. :-)
I had no idea you like cats, have more respect for you now
The problem with fast back is there is no blade storage built in other then that I love the flip open design. Dewalt did not solve this shame.
Both dewalt and fastback have versions with blade storage.
@@I..cast..fireball thanks I’ll have to look into that
Sounded Irish af when you said “that’s a knife” :”)
2 reasons they won’t be in my pocket. No bottle opener and no screw driver.
If you can't open a bottle with that you need to quit drinking

Bottle opener on a work knife is useless. Wish they’d get rid of it on the 6in1 fastback. Still my daily carry along with my arkfeld pro
Real question brother, do you rock the Milwaukee snapback with the included screwdriver?
@@gpjadams2 yup
This guy looks like one of my friends in high school Jason Zuckerman.
Still prefer my milwaukee fastback lol
Not ment for hard work for light. Duty
Reason they aren't, Para 3 Ultralite
I here you say say deploy in your video are you a veteran?
Batman: Does it come in black?
🤣
Nope Yellow Black for DeWALT amd Orange RED on Black Decker
Plain Silver on Stanley FatMax they all same except the Forged Blade Folders are actual weapons
I'll stick to my Leatherman
I wish it had a screwdriver
I like tham
I’m glad Kenneth, hope you’re doing well buddy!
Disclaimer, no screwdriver, Milwaukee got screwdriver, Klein got screwdriver, DeWalt, no screwdriver😢
And only 1505 has driver and blade storage.
2 of thoes will land you in jail on a felony charge
still not a flip model like touch tools. LLLLL
Linerlocks are the weakest locking mechanism for all folding knives.......its been proven
Longwinded infomercial.
The blade storage fold out is junk. They could have at least used the plastic they used on the rest of the knife.
Underrated DeWALT Utility Knife Feature!
How is it junk? I actually work maintenance and use knife everyday, blade storage is fine
@Lee-lb9qh feels like it was made out of bottle caps. I use mine everyday too but I don't really keep extra blades in it
