- Pilgrims kickoff the Southern pilgrimage route in Brownsville, Texas, undaunted by the extreme heat. Montse Alvarado is on the ground with the Tex-Mex community, who processed through downtown Brownsville with Bishop Daniel Flores, visited the border and Basilica of San Juan del Valle on the first week of their pilgrimage.

Living in the Diocese of Brownsville, it was an honor to have this route kicked off here. I live closer to San Juan, TX, so my sister and I were blessed to attend the mass at the Basilica of our Lady of San Juan del Valle. We awaited their arrival and were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. The Basilica was filled and our faith renewed. What a blessing! May those who continue on be safe and receive many blessings from our Lord. 🙏🏽♥️

I was able to catch this group in Robstown. :)
We are preparing for the pilgrimage in Mississippi. It will be 5 days and we hope people from all over can make the trip, you will not be disappointed.
