I commend you for your ingenuity and skills. This slingshot looks and seems to shoot as good or better than Snody's blingshot. He sells 'em for almost $200 which makes no sense to me. Your slingshot has the advantage of being affordable and fun to make. Thanks again so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for the kind comment! I have been making and shooting different weapons for over a year now and just started putting them on youtube. This was a very fun project to make and my first attempt at a real tutorial and I will be making more soon. I am very proud of the stuff I make and I really appreciate positive feedback. Thanks Sharpshooterjd
+George Bortnick Not sure what you mean? I have seen people make slingshots out of thick HDPE cutting boards, and I have heard those work well. Might be worth a try. Not sure how strong they would be though.

Combat Robot Builder Eh I don't know why I didn't use primer honestly. It was my first try at gluing PVC together. I actually almost used 2 part epoxy. I don't know how well that would work. I haven't had any issues with it though. The cement by itself seems plenty strong. If I did it again I would glue it before I cut it so it would turn out perfectly flush.
My best advice is to figure out a way to do it with the materials you have. You can use chained rubber bands, inner tubes, medical gloves, balloons, etc, for bands. And you could use natural wood, HDPE cutting boards, ply wood or something else for the slingshot. Good luck!
thuy pham You are very welcome! Just make sure you wear some kind of glasses and don't overstretch them, because they are probably not near as durable as latex sheets. And try to get ones that are as pure of a latex as possible. Stay safe and have fun!
this slingshot is really cool!
i have seen loads of pvc slingshots in the past but i like this one the best!
thanks for the cool entry :)
+The Art of Weapons Thanks so much! I Can't wait for the contest results!

thinking about cutting the slingshot out of a pvc breadboard . would this be strong enough to use some really strong round bands?
+George Bortnick Not sure what you mean? I have seen people make slingshots out of thick HDPE cutting boards, and I have heard those work well. Might be worth a try. Not sure how strong they would be though.
You've got clamps u used dueing the sawing. Use that and a piece of wood to clamp the heated piece. But good vid?
Good job dude! I might have to try that :)
Thanks man! And you should try it, it's a really fun project!
Thankzz 4 sharing. :)
lancepierres Your very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed! Josh
can you use tubular bands with this
Yep! Sometimes smaller tubes like to slip a little though. So just take precautions for that, and pull test them away from your face before you shoot.
thanks
Where the theraband buy

What type of pvs is that.
It's schedule 40 PVC plumbing pipe you can find it at lowes or home depot.
Nice 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Right after you heat it up, smear some of the pvc cement inside, then flatten it with your board.
Definitely will do that next time :).
Isn’t the cement highly flammable
How to buy theraband
No pvc primer?

I am going to make that today
Awesome! Good luck!

SharpshooterJD yes thanks

Thanks!
this is kinda old buy just glue 2 flatened pipes together for 4 layers makes it sturdy
+Dxmn Hitmxrker Yeah, one day I will update this tutorial, and use some of these suggestions :). Thanks for the comment!
But un right hand AND thats for left ir its the dame?
+sharpshooterjd im going to do this but with 4 layers making a hunting/ quick change target shooter hope its good
Awesome! Make sure you glue all 4 layers together before you cut out your design. Good luck!
+sharpshooterjd i know lol. Ima use pvc bonding and a little glue might do 3 if 4 is to thick and is 2 plenty ridgid or is it have flex
+Dxmn Hitmxrker The one I made in this video, (two layers, or one piece of pipe flattened), is quite flexible. I would definitely do 3 - 4.
+sharpshooterjd how widedoes it wide when you flatten 2 inch pipe out
+sharpshooterjd and do you think I could use tubes on it with out it breaking?
In Viet Nam, i can't buy thera-band gold or rubber latex, :( but i have a 1 piece of 10mm thick PVC, so I can not do the same you are :((((

Thank you for your advice!!! i will try with medical gloves
