Yeah this is why high charity in halo 2 is one of the worst mission that bungie ever designed because its too short and they completely cut the warthog run at the end of this mission.

As much as I love Halo 2, Master Chief drew the short straw when it came to the ending, and got to do nothing epic or climactic. I really wish this could have been implemented in the game instead of the blatantly obvious, half-finished, "High Charity" level we got.
I agree. I felt the High Charity we got ended abruptly. Now we know why. Chief did get a badass final line in the game that built the hype for Halo 3. “Sir, finishing this fight.”

Now I love that the Flood Juggernaut was given the death animation and other things that made it slightly in its completed mode in this mod though would of been nice if only the lower torso and some pieces were left of the Flood Juggernaut after it dies. Now perhaps it would be a good idea to have this featured in Halo 2 MCC PC (one of the ways of updating a lot of stuff of the Halo 2 chapter).

That was dank! The horizontal gravity lift is kinda boring tho, defs needs something. Any idea what Bungie were doing with it? would be sweet if you could jump on the turret and fight off some buggers mid lift for example. There may not be a scripting function for putting players in/out of seats tho :( Awesome work nonetheless!

yeh i would have used the entire level but at the time i did not know how to add data to the map, instead i was overwriting other parts of the map, which is why game would crash if i went back. now i know how to expand the map properly, but too much work was done on the mod to go back
@@blackdimund1920 Surprisingly it mostly can as it turns out. It's mostly a mesh of grey textures but overall you can still see what's going on. Same thing with the juggernaut. For some reason it's all still visible in 2A just untextured.
Kind of makes little sense at the same time, since well...uh....There wouldn’t be a SINGLE marine left on In Amber Clad who wouldn’t have been infected so the whole Chips Dubo screaming the Flood and that Pelican crash would have been silent.
Can we get a version of this that includes the full level? The current version consists of just the conduit and warthog run, but I'd prefer if the warthog run mod replaced only the original (i.e. released) conduit load zone as opposed to the whole level, keeping the rest of the geometry leading up to the conduit intact. Then it would be absolutely perfect.

Hey BlackDiamund I am a massive H2 fan and I have always wanted to play this level, I have Vista and your file and Assembly downloaded but can you please give me a list of simple steps to help me get this running? I have no modding experience for H2V or Assemby in general
wish after the gravity well, you used the take of cortana from e3 "bechya cant stick it" and chief's "youre on" line as he touches down, i get you made him slam into the "generator" aparently bungie had issues with sticking the landing aswell, id love to see this as a part of the final level, not just the last checkpoint, also wondering ,did you add an impersonator of jen taylor? some of the cortana lines seem out of place
the bsp has nothing after you jump, just a giant wall with moving bitmaps, and i did take a few sounds from halo 2 and halo 3 for cortana, two of them were hidden audio for this warthog run also the thing he jumps into has no physics, its all scenery, and i dont know how to make a physics model for it
It is the Mjolnir Mix, it's just a different pitch, and it starts at the guitar drop rather than the chant at the beginning. And the different parts of it play when you get to certain sections.
How can I install this for Vista? I did the whole assembly thing, however, when I try to complete the process, I get this: "Hold on there! That patch is for a map with a build version of, and the unmodified map file you selected doesn't seem to match that. Find the correct file and do it again". I have H2 Vista version 5.6.0
scnr tag, editing the script expressions block. but actually to make it easier i was generating scripts with a dummy map in halo 2 editor kit, then pasting the expressions over to my modded campaign map with hex editor
because if they were enemy they would all group up on you and after like 20 of them were under the warthog they would glitch the game and delete you and your warthog
Cuz of Microsoft's bs deadlines at the time, apparently the game was kinda in a production hell at the time, which is probably another reason why they cut most of these parts off, it's pretty sad, but at least be glad that we got the second game with no issues, except for maybe some minor problems, but it's a game, a pretty badass game😎
Cause that one had a team of developers working on it tirelessly. What you see here is a one man army doing his/her best to imagine what cut content could play like, if restored using a small subset of remaining game assets, gluing it together using tricks rather than non-compiled source code. I am sure this would have been amazing if there was more time available to the developers prior to launch.

haha wow i can tell the grav lift really made them question some things but really that would've been nothing for an ending this good.
This would make the ending for 2 a lot better with this level being set before the Arbiters mission to fight tartarus
