5 in 1 Torte Cake Recipe | Trending Dream Cake in Tamil | Multi layer cake

  • Hi,in this video we can see how to make 5 in 1 torte cake in Tamil.This is a yummy chocolate dream cake recently trending in Kerala.
    5 IN 1 TORTE CAKE | TRENDING CHOCOLATE DREAM CAKE
    INGREDIENTS
    eggs - 2
    curd - 3 tbsp
    oil - 3 tbsp
    vanilla essence - ½ tsp
    maida - ½ cup
    baking powder - ½ tsp
    baking soda - ¼ tsp
    pinch of salt
    cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
    hot water - 3 tbsp
    water - ½ cup
    sugar - ¼ cup
    powdered sugar - ½ cup
    whipping cream -1½ cups
    dark chocolate -
    milk chocolate - 125 gms
    corn flour - 1 tbsp
    METHOD OF PREPARATION
    1.In a bowl beat 2 eggs.Then add ½ tsp vanilla essence and mix well.
    2.Add ½ cup powdered sugar and mix until the sugar dissolves.
    3.Add 3 tbsp oil and mix until well combined.Do not mix too much after adding oil.
    4.Add 3 tbsp curd (room temperature) and again mix it.Now we can add the dry ingredients - ½ cup maida,2 tbsp cocoa powder,½ tsp baking powder,¼ tsp baking soda and a pinch of salt. Seive before adding the dry ingredients.
    5.Mix until well combined.Add 3 tbsp warm hot water.The batter should be in loose consistency.
    6.Bake the cake for about 15-20 minutes on 180°C after preheating the oven for 10 minutes.Grease the baking tray with some maida and butter before pouring the batter,I have used a 7" baking tray.
    7.Once the cake is baked and cools down.Remove the cake from the baking tray.
    8.For making sugar syrup take ¼ cup sugar and ½ cup water.Let the sugar melt and boil.Once it boils off the flame and let it cool down.
    9.Take a 7" tin and set the 1st layer with the chocolate cake.Pour the sugar syrup and let it soak for about 15 minutes.
    10.In a pan take 1 tbsp corn flour and ¾ cup whipping cream.Mix well.Then add 150 gm dark chocolate.Stir until the chocolate melts and off the flame when it begins to boil.
    11.Add chocolate as per your preference of sweetness.
    12.In a small bowl take 50 gms chocolate and melt it with 2 tbsp hot whipping cream.
    13.Whip ½ cup whipping cream until it becomes soft peak.Add the melted chocolate and mix well.The chocolate should not be hot or else the whipped cream might melt.
    14.Keep the bowl and beater in freezer for few minutes so that the cream gets whipped faster.
    15.Now add the whipped chocolate mousse as the second layer and spread evenly.Keep it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
    16.Whip slightly the melted chocolate and add it add as the 3rd layer.Keep it again in the refrigerator.
    17.Melt 125 gms milk chocolate using double boiling method.The bowl and spoon used for double boiling should be dry.
    18.Pour it on the cake as the 4th layer and spread evenly.Once the chocolate hardens spread some cocoa powder as the 5th layer.
