And one thing I want to add that plastic is not banned because when I visited in this April there was a shop where all the tourist vehicles park they were selling cup noodles ,drinks in plastic bottles ...there was a separate basket for biodegradable and non biodegradable which is made of bamboo and it was very clean but tourist are creating a lot of mess 😭....

I actually went to the place like it is so clean like also the tradition is also so good I recommend everyone to go there because it's also very clean like not like the other states in India
I think India should implement one rule that , whatever wrappers or anything children throw in school, they should clean the school before going to home ( similar like Japan policy).
Students involvement programme should be run across India and give them certificate for involvement in such activities of cleaning and other creative and productive activities
I'm from Northeast. Visited this village twice. It's awesome. The wettest place of this planet i.e. Cherrapunji is also situated there. Living root bridge is also situated there. Meghalaya is a heaven.
Instead of burning/incineration of non- perishable wastes it can be recycled otherwise in long run the smokes from burning these trashes may impact the air quality...
