Miss World Puerto Rico 2000 - Es TOA ALTA!!

Miss World Puerto Rico 1999 crowns Wrong Contestant. The Real Winner for Miss World Puerto Rico 2000 (Miss Toa Alta), but instead crowns the First Runner Up (Miss Vieques) Then, the First Runner up, had to crown the Winner.

This is the proper way to rectify the blunder. When the announcer thought that they are crowning the wrong contestant, he approached them immediately. And when the wrong contestant realized she is not the winner, she helped them transfer the crown to the winner and gave the bouquet. Great job!

At least the other lady was gracious enough to hand over the crown herself... unlike the recent one who just stood there and acted like she was robbed. LOL

first runner up was a total lady and good values. She acted with grace and didn't drag the event with negativity. Ms. Colombia should learn that mistakes happen but personal humiliation is a direct consequence of one's response.

miss vieques was appointed to compete at miss world 2001 when the pageant was not held that year. she's listed as miss mundo puerto rico 2001. there's the silver lining

:O Por más que le dicen ''ES TOA ALTA'', no hacen nada y coronan a Vieques. No es por nada, pero el certamen es del año 2000 y las dos finalistas parecen cuarentonas. Incluso Wilnelia se veía mucho más bonita, y eso, que su año fue el 1975.
