Normally, a rockered setup such as mine, is not something one would use to skate 20 miles or more, but I absolutely love it.
I have a section on my website with more on flat vs rockered skating:

I changed to a rockered setup about a year ago and I can’t imagine ever going back to flat! I guess I’d classify myself as aspiring artistic skater, and I love the manoeuvrability I have now, though I notice it takes more work to control the skate position, especially at speed. I’m envious of your route with the view of the river!
You know it!
I wish you the best in whatever direction you take in that setup.
You will be surprised at how much more you can do, over time.
That extra "work" you mention, will definitely make you a better, stronger skater.
Thank you for this awesome comment!
I have an Endless balanced rocker on my current skates, but I have new skates coming that I will make into a regular rocker by changing the wheel sizes. I love how rockered setups feel!
@@spicyananaspizza Good for you!
Yes, to me, they just feel "right".
Your route through Boston looks amazing! So few people that you can skate comfortably! Rockered is the way !
Thanks! I love to go early and that gives me so much more freedom. Good to see another rocker!
I miss Boston Amazing videos👍👍👍
Boston misses YOU!
Thanks, man.👍
Loved the video. I got a question.....I need another pair of inline skates. I bought a pair last year but they're too large and too heavy. I have an extra wide foot and finding any skates is a chore. I need something lighter, that fits properly, and allows me to move freely. I live in NYC. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Thanks.
Well, I don't know what you had, or what you replaced them with, that was too large and too heavy, so I can only tell you what I know, based on brands I've used.
I have Powerslide Hardcore Evos that fit me snug. Definitely not for an extra wide foot.
The skates I use most, my Seba High Light Carbons, also fit me very well, but I can't say for sure if they would accommodate wide feet.
I never had any problems with any of my rollerblade skates, and I've heard they can be ok for wide feet, but doublechecking never hurts.
My FR-1 skates are the skates that I have read, are good for wide feet. (they are definitely more "roomy" than all other skates I've used)
I never found them to be heavy.....maybe just a tad bulky. (for what I like to do)
Hay man I wanna learn to skate how can I get in contact with you so we can skate ?
