Okay good is was wondering if this was humane thanks now this is cool
I'm a vet. Cat people who let their cats out, but criticize his actions are being hypocrites. Cats that are allowed to wander aimlessly at night are subject to being attacked by dogs, predators, and territorial cats. They are also killed by cars, eat things they shouldnt eat, and yes, killed by people who are tired of them climbing and scratching up their vehicles and attacking their pets. And getting sprayed by a little water is cruel? Taking control of your pets is the singlemost humane thing you can do.
Yup I kill them. Saving the wild birds is critical. We are losing them. No shortage of cats, unfortunately, and they are the second largest reason why birds are in apocalyptic free fall around the world
In my area, most of the cats disappear after a while when they are put out at night by irresponsible owners. There is very little wildlife (maybe a few rats) as humans have killed it all, but I do hate it when they kill the last wild life we have left especially birds.
Absolutely right!
Let’s take the first part of this comment. Doesn’t that justify the death of birds by cats then? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 if you’re so worried about a bird being killed by an ANIMAL’S NATURAL INSTINCT Mr. Veterinarian, why not save all the birds? 💀💀
@@gertrudewest4535 you’re actually incriminating yourself for animal cruelty but alright you bad ass. You go on killing cats that are a fraction of your size that have no defense. You ever think that killing another animal isn’t hurting the species? Guess not lol

Really, I'll definitely give that a try. I can't for the life of me understand my cat, I try to give it the best as far as Toys, Scratch Posts, and Litter Boxes, but it always scratches up my bed, and urinates in my Cloths Hamper.
I question everyday why I still put up with the fur ball, I guess love, but that smell, oh god the smell pure Ammonia murder to my senses.
@Angelic Hope - Then your car cover will smell like vinegar

Funny how the hate comment people think the cats will magically go away if the gate was closed. When cats are on a mission they'll find another way.

I'm a cat owner and I find this hilarious, cats won't get hurt by this, people who complain don't know what two cats fighting each other look like. I have seen neighbors cats full of blood from attacks of stray cats. So what this lad is doing is nothing they can't deal with.
Also he's pretty nice imo, most people who dislike cats in my neighborhood just poison them, don't let your cats wander at night mates, not everyone is like this gentleman.
I have the exact problem here. My neighbour got 5 cats that he put outdoor. Everyday they pooped infront of my door. And scratch up the hood of my car. It's not a normal car.. it's lamborghini urus.. my hood is full of scratches.. 😔
@@ims7568 i live across the street from a couple who has hundreds of cats and at one point im pretty sure ive seen them burning furiniture or something and the cats just go everywhere and pee on everything
You're right. A little ethylene glycol goes a long way, and you only need to leave it out on your own property.
This dude is going extremely calm with them, there's a cat roaming around that's harassing mine, made him blind, made him lose a leg's function, and since mine's a lot older, he barely reacts, and stays most of the day and night inside sleeping, fearing the other cat. And the few times he goes out, he has the misfortune of finding this stray cat that beat him up again and again. I wouldn't be patient like the guy on the video, though I've considered and tried other things, I'm recurring to the most extreme solution, I'm finishing building a trap that'll catch this cat and immobilize him so that I'll kill him for once and easily. Wish I wouldn't need to do it, but it's either him or mine, and I choose not to be mine. At least I won't torture him every night, make him blind and rip him all over all the time, I'll try - can't guarantee - to give him a clean and fast death
@@ims7568i think You must shot that cat with Airgun
I have 3 cats and if someone did this to my cats...
I'd be perfectly okay with that.
He's not hurting them and anyone who has outdoor cats knows just closing a fence door won't stop a cat.
He need to put stinky water, for the dumbs owers get triggered. Dont leave your animal on streets.
Have 2 cats of my own, indoor cats. Indoors not because of neighbors, nearest is 1/2 mile away, but coyotes and 18-wheeler trucks that have taken out more cats than I want to talk about. I do have many birds in my yard who make nests, an I enjoy watching them and their babies whenever I get a chance.
Or put natural palm tree seed cluster branches on the fences or on top of walls will deter a cat, I'm glad some workers are trapping and re-homing all the strays we got here; some crazy person threw them around the neighborhood and they've multiplied. Where I live the animal shelters don't have enough personnel to go pick them up or space to keep them since they're always full.
People shouldn't have "outdoor cats" keep your cats indoors or don't keep cats, because every time they're outside they'll be looking for other cats to mate with if they aren't fixed or they'll be actively hunting native animal populations.
@Toob247 Toob247 No, fixed or not they shouldn't be let out, they'll kill native animals at an accelerated rate.

I know I'm VERY late, but I'm a biology student, as well as a cat-owner. And some of those hate comments were insane--
First off, Spraying is a form of scent marking, where animals deposit amounts of urine to mark territory. It's also called urine marking. The only differences are 1. the amount of liquid deposited, and 2. the reason for doing it. Spraying is STILL going to smell like cat piss.
Second, there's one comment about just moving the birds. Depending on the species of birds, that might actually be illegal! If it's a protected species! If it's at risk species, then biologists would actually COMENDE this guy for the humane, yet effective, cat repellant.
Thirdly, yes these are cats just doing what their instincts tell them to do. But, cats originate from the Fertile Crescent, which is southern Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Israel, Egypt, and parts of Turkey and Iran. Places outside of that area are not where cats belong, where their instincts are unwelcome in the environment.
for whoever made hate comments about the gate being open.. a person shouldn't have to lock themselves in, in order to keep your out of control cats out. It is YOUR pet, so YOUR responsibility. These things shouldnt piss all over other peoples properties? Non cat owners do not dig up your back yard and piss/shit all over your stuff... Yet when you let your animal roam wild, its all good?
Preach!
If this was a dog for example, people would be losing it. You see wild cats anywhere but dogs are a different story... they scare people.... and if they start damaging property someone is going to fucking pay right? But you cant go to your neighbor and complain about their "OUTDOOR CAT."

I love and adore cats but god damn it, people need to learn some frakkin' responsibility. Not to mention the needless injuries they often come home with, if they come home at all. I have seen some cruel and tragic shit happen to roaming cats in my seven years working at an animal clinic. All of it can be avoided if people just scraped together even an ounce of responsibility.

The only bad thing she'll do is attack other animals besides horses because she's never been around other animals besides horses sense she was a kitten. Of course we will also rarely find dead birds and mice she's caught only because she wants to share them with everyone and at the local stables there's a huge forest so she can go in there and roam in there and even knows what time to come back so we can put her in the tack room.

Your Android Connor I agree cause it's like saying your cat keeps doing something you particularly don't want them doing for there safety or because there destroying you're furniture and you resort to spraying them with a water bottle and people saying "your only torturing your cat for you're entertainment" which in all reality you're training them not to do that particular thing anymore.
@Akira Rivera then I'm sorry, but your country obviously doesn't know what animal abuse is. It still is ridiculous.

I found a baby cat when its eyes were still closed. It may roam my garden and there's a strange phenomenon going on. So basicly my cat never learned that birds are edible. According to him only cat food is edible (after nibbling on a habanero he thinks human food is non-edible too) so basicly when he's in the garden, there's 2 things that can make him run into the house. 1: he took a dive into the pond again or 2. a bird comes too close to him. He's a pretty big boy for a cat, thus neighborhood cats tend to stay out of his garden. Birds nonetheless have soon realized that he's retarded by cat standards. Now the birds nest in our garden, the cat (he's also terrified by mice btw) is panicking every time a bird comes close to him and other cats won't enter my backyard and poop in there.
It's actually hilarious.
I found one of my cats when she was very young, and she just stares at birds like crazy
One of my cats is afraid of mice too lol
In fact she's afraid of everything and I mean everything. She and my other cat are total opposites. She stays inside (always has) is too faced and likes hiding. Runs from anything sus. Semi loud noise, shuffling, one of the dogs running into the house, somebody blocking her from getting food. Just afraid of everything. The other one, he goes outside, tries to fight other cats, is nice to everyone, plays with the dogs, and hunts for fun but for some reason never kills (not that I know of). He used to play with mice until they "got away."
They still dont like each other btw lol.

I’m a retired animal cop and there are two ways to change a cats behavior of being a creature of habit…pain or fright. The water is fright with the cold water, zero pain, so be happy if your cat comes home wet and not shot or injured. It may not even come home at all. There are three reasons why cats that are allowed out at night do what they do…to mate, to hunt and entertainment. Spay or neuter and they don’t need to search for a mate, keep a feeding station inside your home, and provide a cat tree or two. You can even have cats in twos for companionship. My point is people think their cats need out at night to roam and they’re 100@% wrong! If you’d like me to share with you my decades of being on the job and what happens to cats, let me know, but be sure to have a barf bag ready.
oh my the voice over for the birds is amazing keep up the good work

@@EM-fi2qg yeah
Geez, that comment saying at the beginning of the video "Just move the nest." SMH. So you think that your cat should be allowed to roam as they please and the wild life should get out of their way? I know it's their nature to be hunters, and I like cats. I have a pair but I keep them inside because there are a lot of risks for them outdoors. A blast of water is one of the least harmful deterrents. I have seen videos of people who set up snares, traps and in some cases, will shoot them. Yeah, I know there is a problem with feral cats going after people's chicken, rabbits and such, but there are those who do not discriminate and apply these methods to any cat. His invention simply teaches them that this is a place that's best to avoid.
Yes, and moving a bird's nest will guarantee the parents will no longer feed those babies.
KutWrite ? Is that true?
It's true beside the smell of a people being on the nest/baby, moving the nest could also make the parent abandon the nest, there some very rare cases it doesn't, and usually they are by people who know how to handle such things.
@@KenDraken11 that's not true, birds don't care about the smell. They are bothered by moving their house

It is the smell
If a human touches the nest the parents will abandon the nest (rarely) and the chicks inside

Why tf are the hate comments so exaggerated, it’s water not lava.
Not only that, but why is spraying a cat with water considered animal abuse?
Because too many pet owners/lovers seem to think their pets are helpless little fragile babies and that you can't hurt or even displease them
best answer to your question is. People Are Still Idiots!
Because people are dumb. The ones that are complaining are the types that would let their cats roam around like the ones in the video killing native fauna and pissing and walking all over people's cars.
There are all kinds of people in the world. Internet has given them an oppurtunity to come out of their hidey holes.

A lot of people who are bereaved or had relationships fail get cats. Which is fine, but unfortunately a high proportion of them invest too much in the cats psychologically - as a substitute for human company. Hence some of the rather unhinged comments on here.
