You beat me to it! - am working on a similar video. Good info. I would say one thing is with the exit visa. For dual citizen babies like ours. just get their khmer passport. Exit on their Khmer passport Enter with their US passport. Simple.
@@CamboVlogs I am Trying to get my daughter's birth certificate but the people at the office in the community doesn't want to give us the birth certificate... So frustrating!!
In case you don't know even my children were born in the US, they can be granted with Khmer permanent visa as a Cambodian born parent. Watching you from Nha Trang Vietnam currently. Happy travels from Khmer Minnes-Nowta!
Thanks for sharing your video again Eric i didn't know that in Canada is different if you have work visa you are not a permanent resident but if your child was born in the country your child will be a Canadian citizenship but not the parents i think is the same in the USA. Thanks Eric take care bye from milton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
One last question for you. According to the embassy site it stated that report birth of a child at the nearest embassy. So does that means, bring my child with me and my wife to the embassy to file for visa? How did you report your son?
@@AB-wj7tnYou will definitely take your child to the embassy. I would take my spouse too, but it's been a while and I can't remember anymore if they let her into the embassy.
My daughter just born abroad, now I am a bit confused what to submit to the Cambodia US embassy? Could you walk me through: do I only just submit the ds11, ds2029 to their email? Then bring supporting documents with to the physical interview Or am I supposed to submit supporting documents with the forms?
Thank you for this informative video! btw, is ok if I'm the only one leaving for the exit, not bringing my child? or we will all go for the exit? thanks
You're supposed to exit your child within 3 months of birth, or you risk overstay penalties. In other words, the Cambodian government wants all its foreigners to have Visas, even babies!
thanks for the video. did you happen to know also about if when Cambodia tourist visa extension says "expiry date: 2 August" for example does it mean 2 August (day 60th since entry) is still a full valid day to leave no issues?
Good information, I just have a question in regards to the processing time for the interview and appointment date. How long does it take for the US embassy to review your application? It’s been more than one week since I’ve sent in my CRBA application by email and received no update.
Hi Eric, I have a question for you and your wife my father is Thai to make the short l have borned in Cambodia and now I lived in the US since 1984 until now how can I get Thai ID or is it possible to get an ID thanks
@@lscrn8263 I do not know, but you might contact the Ministry of Interior to start. Maybe they can point you in the right direction. You can also try the US embassy. I doubt you're the first person who has had this problem?

Our son is not Khmer, so he can't get a Khmer passport.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 ahh my bad. Good video though. A lot of people will find this helpful!

Good to know it, thanks for sharing.
Hey you mentioned on step 6 bring everything. What do you mean by that? Bring everything from USA to show the consulate officer?
Yep - you never know what other proof they'll want.
Thanks for the awesome video. I am going through this right now and it’s a lot of paperwork.

I'm pretty sure the expiration date is the expiration date but I'd look it up.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 you mean august 1 you believe the last valid day?

That's something your Thai father had to deal with.
I do not know. I would contact the Thai embassy.
Hello
Hi!
My fiance is Cambodian and I am a US citizen and the local office doesn't want to give us the birth certificate of my baby
Then you'll have to move up the food chain to the next higher office.
