Alex, my friend with all due respect I envy you out on the road but right now I'm on the other side of our industry. I got a great deal on 20 acres in Kansas, but hubs are expensive as I'm learning firsthand. The dream has a price tag. You'd love it I have a pond on the backside where you could kayak on the property or go fishing. When the terminal is finished, I'll invite you to visit. There's also a pond in Tennessee, smaller, but big enough to fish in. The person I bought it from gave me his canoe and yes today I went out in it for an hour, so relaxing. It's amazing, you loose yourself in natures beauty. I needed to forget trucking for 2 or 3 hours. I'm going to renovate a small house w/barn soon.
👍
Do they pay you for down time? Like in this video when you have to pretty much wait like 6 hours to get loaded?
I don’t work in the trucking industry but I enjoy watching your videos Alex, I’m living my trucker life vicariously through you “my guy”.
One thing I love about the small company I work at is my truck and trailer are both assigned. No drop and hooks. They will both be with me until I quit, retire, or they sell it.
Alex the “I can’t make that turn” guy lmao
He needs to turn in them keys.. Boy can't do anything but complain about not being able to do something.. Unfortunately, I can't tell if he's being stupid for UA-cam or if he's actually this slow..
Lol
What a disgrace.
Your driving is getting a lot better. You will be putting that Tk. right within inch or 2 of where you are trying very soon. Even driving your own personal vehicle this experience will stay with you for a lifetime. You become a much safer lifelong driver now. Called seat time experience.
22:12 wow that Mack Anthem is nice
13:52 that is part of an old factory, I believe there is even a time capsule inside or there was. I live in the city you picked up in!
Legend say Alex is still trying to alley doc!!!😂
You can make that turn stay right and right before you exit with the trailer far right turn your cab to the left then once you start go hard right you can go anywhere you want stop saying you can't make that turn be more positive and look at every one turning you will see what i am talking about, good luck
YP BRO THIS IS MY HOME TOWN LOL ol muncie indiana. My dads also the last one that painted that old white ball tower back in 1994.
You’re about to run that stop sign on the left haha 😂 34:34
Good thing you weren't picking up eggs and waiting for the hens to lay them.
You have the loudest 4 way flashers and blinkers i've ever heard. I always turned the volume on those things way down lol.
33:28 that place looks familiar!
I i. Miss driving, these videos help , ive been disabled for 4 years
Almost everything you do is the complete opposite of what I would do, but you get the job done safely. That's all that matters. But wow, does it ever drive me up a wall to watch.
I've been watching him for months and same. I drive a reefer and I rarely have my tandems past 6th hole. Plus he turns quicker than needed. I cringe watching but his commentary is funny af
@@bankskids Reefer is the best in my opinion.
@@sdkerby yeah it's not bad. My next move eventually will be tanker
17:32 if i could make that with another truck there you could too. Your setup was right if you needed more room let the car back yp
Get in touch with Dave, Alex. You've said he inspired you. He's driving a Volvo, now....If you had your tandems all the way forward, it was probably a light load, and those suck in the wind.
I do not remember seeing you go through a "round about". They are awesome when you are in a car, but suck when you are towing something. I have heard and seen some horrifying stories from Semi drivers. What is your approach to these road hazards?
I wonder Alex, it'd just be easier to keep your gloves under the seat by the handle, atleast when your docking/unlocking as you'd need it frequently. Rather than opening the box every time and closing. 😅
@1:09 is that tire not punctured?
Love the videos but the way you depend on that GPS and not knowing how to even merge......really scary my guy....and dangerous!
I really enjoy watching your channel. However, the O.C.D parking is just so excessive. Everything else is ok, I like how you explain things, I also enjoy when you cook. Always impressed on how appealing your meals look.
Long day.ive put in many 20 hour days .from the time started until i was available for my 10.hour break. 14 hours everyday. 70 hours in 5.5 days .pulling a reefer
No sir, I have been to that loves many times, as many as 10 years ago.
Good morning Alex I wanted to know what Brand MATTRESS you have in your truck also the price or information on it so I could look into possibly purchasing one. I noticed the bed yhave in your video when you had to switch trucks..
Great job Alex
I do flatbed try tarping in 110 degree weather then drive 550 miles lol. But either way we are making money an keep up the good content dude an stay safe
That truck is nice
I’ve been to that place and was in and out in 30 minutes
Alex once again i ask you how many things can you do at any one time? ONE. You have your brain working on all these things and that is what is causung your indisicions you make . You will burn out inside of 12 months if you keep this up. Slow down think and then act .🥵🥵
What is your handle on the citizens band radio?
Hey Alex, do these trucks have mounts for TVs in it?
What model Garmin GPS are you running?
How did you get Wi-Fi to unload these videos ?
Alex..I love your videos your doing great you remind me of my God son. Don't EVER let any hater out there discourage you there just jealous cause your a loyal, honest guy..
Jag tycker du bara gnäller om allt.
Should be a new thing trailer rating every time you get a different one
Why do you roll your window up and down when you backup and turn?
It's good practice to roll your window down when backing so you can hear if anyone starts yelling at you to stop.
Don't worry. If your the only one using your turn signal. That means I'm the second to use a turn signal in a parking lot
Anyone notice the left rear inside dual?
The truck fights back. I want my Kenworth. Clunk. Be careful. You may end up on the side of the road. LOL. Just Kidding.
I don't understand this, you can easily make those turns if you had your tandems all the way forward, like why would u have them back so far on a light load? Makes no sense as a driver myself this is frustrating to watch but I can't help not to watch
I never seen somebody put on gloves, just open the door and put so much sanitizer on
How much mpg is that cascadia averaging
I bet 6.9
what are they paying you?
What Tracktor supply was this/state?
Be nice to know what you're hauling.
Hi whatcha up to hope all is well sending up prayers 4 healing and unspoken and bless great healthy peaceful safe journeys travels and happy hauling and happy day everyday in the name of the Creator God and Yeshua/Jesus and the Holy Ghost Amen much honor and respect keep walking tall also lil advice u can try it nxt time wait on sliding the trlr tandems til u get in ur spot/dock stop bout halfway to dock in ur spot slide them to the rear and open the doors then bump the dock this may help with turning in tight docking try it and see if it helps also petal to the metal hammer dwn and keep'em on the pavement/roads and rollin also catch u on the flippy flops
🚌🌅🌌⛺🌄🏞🏖
👍👍💪🙂👍👍
Back or forward with axles does not help you in the wind.Who told you that.
Hello funny guy 😂
ربي يحفظك ✋
I would call my dispatch and give me another load. You're wasting time and money Setting there.
Yeah sure as if it were easy to find loads to rookies nowadays ! We rookies only got the crumbs but it’s fine by me I got 3 raises in 5 months despite the difficult times this industry is going through
Alex i dont know what is wrong with you but you stress way to much when under pressure. Stay calm and thing wekk i am koaded and know have all thia extra time to sort this out. You thought you maybe there untill 6 pm then you had a win and still stressed out. Learn to take a chill mpill and count to ten other wise you will blow a head gasket.
truck driver should retire at 50!
It’s reading your trl cause u are in a bend
You're gonna give yourself cancer with all that hand sanitizing.
41:47 should you not have jacked that up?
bro cant drive
I can see you are not smart when you drive
Keep your tandems at the 5 holes. Always a good spot. As long as your 5th wheel is in the center of Your axles.
5 holes from the end?
@@vforvictory3313 five holes from the front but it depends how they load your trailer but the five-hole is a sweet spot under 40,000, also we're talking dry van not reefer
@@smartass5599 thanks a lot
@@vforvictory3313 you're welcome but if you're not sure it's always better to weigh it it really does matter how they load it
Hey Alex, they make a pin that you can temporarily put in the slide holes so you no longer have to guess while sliding the tandems. You should pick one up!
Alex the indicator tic tic guy tho😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why is that turn signal on all the time?
Man oh man ! you read my mind,it is twice now that I wrote him about it,some of is video's are loaded with this anoying noise, like I said I do understand that he do have to put them on,but for the quality of his video's he should find a way to stiffle them,it is so annoying that some time ,I just get out of his video and go somewhere else.
A lot of yards have 4 ways/strobe lights on policies while in the yard. Also most truck drivers put on their 4 ways while backing, it let's other drivers know to stay away from you until you're done
@@letterbomb_actualI guarantee most drivers don’t use their hazards like this dude does when they’re in yards.
@@JavonWilliams29most drivers aren’t filming themselves and posting the vids on UA-cam. His company can see these videos so he has to be careful and follow policies I think.
@@justinhiner3146 great point.
Love the fact you made that pickup at a company in Munice Indiana as I have been there myself. I knew that area looked familiar Love the content sir safe travels.
Do you ever not complain??
He also whines as a bonus
Hey Alex, I have been watching you for a long time and your videos help me sleep when I get restless. Thanks for your videos and I enjoy your mellow commentary. I hope your future after trucking is as fruitful as you hope it to be.
Are you calling him fruity
@@devilshark8200Not exactly, a fruitful future is a phrase that essentially means a pleasant future/happy future.
@@Big_wumbus I love my job, after my uncle passed away his company was tossed in my lap. I'm one of seven drivers, I'm expanding and buying property, not able to be doing my job right now as I'm looking for haulage contracts. Monday I expect to behind the wheel again doing local runs .
@@Big_wumbus you should look at trucking the way I have to build terminals and a customer base that is solid and that's what it takes to be a successful company
@@devilshark8200thanks for the info, however I’m only really into watching a guy drive a gigantic vehicle. I’m not really into the profession more so I just like seeing Alex operate the vehicle itself.
I really enjoy the videos. One of these days I'm going to run a stopwatch on how much time the turn signals/flashers are on. It seems like you're always turning or backing. LOL
Don't forget bridge laws with where you put your tandems. Also, yes, the 8th hole, counting from the tandems am the way forward, is the sweet spot for your trailer and evens out the truck and trailer making it the most aerodynamic. It will save you in fuel, if you can have it there and be legal weight, especially if you're empty. But, you always want more weight on your drives than on your tandems, but always be legal weight. Tandems all the way back is almost always a no go with most bridge laws.
Nice video and awesome length Alex, and I enjoy your commentary. Now every time I see a truck I look for the wheels on the trailer and where they are lined up. so you see Alex even for those of us who don't drive Big truck, your videos are informative and fun. Thanks for being you ! 🙏🥰🌟👍
You're not signed up on your app then with GP. I get 4 points per gallon of everything. I get free showers everyday. Free drink.
I really enjoy watching Alex's videos, I love to listen to his commentary, he always says something that makes me smile and puts me in a better mood. I am trying to get our shipping to use GP Transco, who knows maybe one day he will deliver or pick up at our company. Thank you Alex, you always make my day better.
I feel like you should change the settings on your GPS to Quickest route....not the shortest route! Its going to get you in such a mess eventually!!!
Some great content mate, keep up the good work. This is the kind of stuff I’m trying to make too!
The fact that you want to keep that trailer you're probably lose it within a couple days drop and hook or swap with someone else😮😂
Tik tik tik is all I heard this whole video🙄😒 should’ve titled this video “longest time with blinkers on challenge”
You know there’s more to tandem placement than how it looks. It directly affects your weight distribution
The entire video is tic tic " i cant make that turn" tic tic shower "i cant make the that turn turning is a pain tic tic "
If only I could get a visa to the states….I would be a million times better than him on day one
That turn signal noise is the most annoying thing I’ve ever heard and I feel like he uses them for so long.
Hopefully he’ll learn how to swing those turns and back up one of these days.
@@scottied67 crazy how that works. I’d much rather watch someone nail it on the first try than watch someone struggle. Just me though.
@@claysibert Yeah ! Man those turn signals are driving me out of his site.
He needs to work on his backing up skills. Quit worrying about if the color of the truck matches the trailer. Your driving to make $$ not a fashion show. I don’t think any of your viewers care about the color of the trailer.
It’s oddly frustrating watching Alex get out his truck, pop hatch, grab gloves, do something mundane, place gloves back in hatch, grab some hand sanitizer, be in truck for 5 seconds then repeat the process again like 4 times in a span of 5 minutes. I guess drivers stick to routines and do things a certain way.
I recall when Alex was at Variant and the massive amount of time wasted hunting for a decent trailer. GP is a better company. You didnt need to back it THAT far back. And you couldve just gone. All the cars will slow down and stop for a large truck. That time when FedEx truck was waiting the street was clear. You could just go and they can wait on you. Then spends an hour or half trying to perfectly park only to realize wanting to get fuel right after parking. Then another hour or half to park again. Im sorry i love watching these videos but as a person who prides on being efficient, watching Alex's inefficiencies and time wasting is hard. I get it it's his own time but having put in 10-12 hour days i want to stop asap and rest or get out.
Alex it’s called a curb😂
All Alex eats are noodles 🍝!
Hello Alex you should get a foldable ebike for when you have down time like this. Another way of seeing the country.😊😊😊
Oh I have one but then I realized that all these truckstops are located just off the highway so there is nowhere for me to ride my bike. It just ended up being a big decoration piece in my truck so I got rid of it
Trucker path is your friend alex. Relying on a fancy truck gps is great an all for truck routes. But trucker path will tell you where every truck stop is and you can trip plan accordingly
38:06 Why did they want you to unhook from the trailer? Seems pointless? I'm missing something I guess.
Unless the driver next to you sucks and takes off your front end when he pulls out. 😁...So many drivers park with there rear ends several feet into the box behind them, because they're too lazy to walk their asses back to see where they are.
I can't make that turn. REALLY! Maybe you should drive a van.
this guy is a hazard. shouldnt be driving a rig
13:33 I shower twice a week and when I restart. I just rather drive and sleep.
Stinky driver - no quality life whatsoever cmon joe
Lmao Swift see what I fucked up today 😂 good content man keep up the excellent work
Nice video & stay safe
7:25 they sure are! My company has nothing but.
9:49 this is true. i was loading a trailer once and one of the drivers busted the whole cushion of the dock and the bay doors fell. trucker was fired.. i feel bad
Really enjoy your videos you do a great job
I'm not a truck driver but is that yellow support supposed to be jacked up so it touches?
those volvo trucks are working towards being self driven. made me change my mind about em
All trucks are going to work towards being self-driven. No one wants employees.
The future of transportation I can’t wait to get out, what a trucker he’s going to make wtf
I work for the same company 😮
Are you still cooking spaghetti 🍝?
Alguien sabe el nombre del color? Para ponerlo en el American Truck Simulator.
