Uno the writers really screwed up when this many people ship Clary and Alec, maybe they should have had Matthew play as Jace, or Alec be Bi or straight whatever. Idek I didn't read the books before and I didn't figure out he was gay till later in the season, after I had already started shipping Clary and Alec, so disappointing but what can ya do.
Exactly the actor who plays Alec (Matt) auditioned for Jace and although Matt doesn't fit the description of book Jace, him and Clary's chemistry is off the charts so they should have casted him.

I do ship Alec and Clary but as siblings or friends. You can't deny that they have chemistry because they do. Not all chemistry leads up to romantic relationships, but just because someone makes a video with just Alec and Clary doesn't mean that they are homophobic. Yes Alec is gay but that doesn't mean that people can't ship a non-canon ship. We are all in the same fandom we should at least learn to respect each others ships, or if we are book readers coming to the show, or people watching it without reading the books we should respect each other. AND the people who do ship them, it doesn't mean that they are straight, so before bringing up the creators sexuality, think about it.
