      Don't worry about it. Detroit traded Chauncey for him and he brought the Pistons down to trash level while Billups elevated the Nuggets. Charlotte wouldn't have been a better team with Iverson anyway. Good call, MJ

      he was a terrible teammate....in terms of building chemistry with teammates during practice, and busting your balls training to win. Jordan was obsessed with training, while Iverson was terrible off the court. No way they could coexist together. no practice = no rings. Jordan was smart to keep that cancerous mentality away from his roster

      Well to be honest AI would not be a smart investment to your team because he would make it about him. If he doesn't show for practice then the team's focus in now on that. He would run the ISO play so much that he was considered a ball hog even though he wasn't. I would sign him on my team because he would win games and he is one of my favorite players. He was blackballed because how he conducted himself. Late for meetings, not showing up to practice, and making it all about him.

    Iverson wasnt being lazy, he was beat up from playing in real games, he was 150 pounds, its amazing he didnt get crushed out there, He's the best ever but too small to be the best ever because he had to expend so much energy out there. I remember 2004 pistons vs Lakers the nba finals series. after game 2 Larry brown put "ELDEN CAMPELL" on shaq. shaq was directly under the paint vs Ben Wallace in which shaq would score easily having his way with wallace. but ELDEN CAMPELL was big and tall shaq couldn't get directly under the hoop. shaq was about 7 feet away from the basket which resulted in horrible 1 handed hook shots from shaq. excellent coaching.

      Kobe why they lost he was shot jacking shooting low percentages.
      Kobe Made 43/113. Shaq made 53 shots on 84 attempts. Shaq had 133 points to Kobe 113.
      How do you take 29 more shots than a person that can’t make 3 pointers like you and have 20 less total points? Being inefficient, playing hero ball and forcing shots being selfish.
      Kobe was 4/23 from 3 shot .174% 3PFG. Shot .381% FG
      Shaq averaged 26.6 ppg on .631% FG. Shaq was horrible on foul shots but that puts Detroit in penalty and makes them less aggressive defensively and opens up floor for Kobe and lakers but Kobe basketball IQ was low back then
      Yes what Coach Brown did with Elden Shaq ex laker teammate helped Detroit but Kobe was their biggest help and Kobe wasn’t feeding Shaq because he wanted to win finals mvp more than he wanted to win the finals.
      He was tired of people pointing out how much Shaq killed him in stats in some of those finals. Like 38 points to 15 in the 2000 finals. Closest Kobe ever was to Shaq in the finals they won was 8.5 points per game below the other 2 was like 10-15 ppg better.
      He wanted to be like Mike got tired of that.

    Jordan has always been David Stern's yes man because Stern bailed him out of his Las Vegas gambling debt (the debt was the reason Jordan's dad was murdered and why he had to go play baseball for a couple of years). Stern orchestrated Iverson's ouster from the NBA. Iverson was one of the best players in 2008 with Denver and led the team to their best record in 20 years yet got benched for scrub Stuckey mere months later and written off as washed up and MUST come off the bench. Meanwhile far inferior players and washed up scrubs were unquestioned starters. Stern knew if Iverson signed with Larry Brown, his career would be revived so he couldn't let that happen. That's why Jordan vetoed it and forced A.I. to sign with Grizzlies and they lied to him that he would have a fair shot to unseat either OJ Mayo or Mike Conley. He outplayed both of them but Lionel Hollins kept reducing his role. The goal was to either phase him out of the NBA or push him until he lashed out, which he did.

      Kwis Bown: It's a very popular theory. Also keep in mind that David Stern is a longtime member on the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), an Illuminati front group, and registered Democrat. It's pretty obvious since mid-2000s that there was a concerted effort by the powers that be to push political correctness, gender-bending, and the homosexual agenda. The biggest obstacle of this agenda was the prominence of the hyper-masculine, overtly anti-gay hip-hop culture and its influence on not only African-American urban youth but also copycat behavior among white suburban youth. Both of these groups are more likely to be Democrats but vocally against PC culture, gay agenda, and gender-bending, which means a potential fissure between the liberal elites (acamedia, mainstream media, and Hollywood) and black America (hip-hop, black church, and so-called "wiggers" and "white trash" who loved Eminem). The latter wanted more economic opportunities while the former are mostly one-percenters focused on shoving the gay agenda down America's throats. They know Bible thumpers and social conservatives from the Republican Party will never support the gay agenda and that working class whites were migrating toward the GOP, so they have no chance of succeeding unless they unite the left and "social engineer"/reprogram black America in one generation into accepting the homosexual agenda. In order to do that, they needed to destroy the "unapologetically black" hip-hip icons who incidentally also have ties to the black church (Iverson is a Christian). The first step to marginalize hip-hop and replace it with gay-friendly hipster culture was the 2005 NBA dress code, which was widely called the "Allen Iverson rule". You ever notice how everyone's violating the dress code these days but no one gets fined? The goal was never trying to make guys dress like "professionals"; the goal was always to destroy hip-hop. Evidently, they thought the dress code wasn't enough and Iverson's cultural influence was still too strong, so they decided he needed to be out of sight out of mind. The second step was the mainstream corporate media's exaltation of Kanye West because they found his style of rap less" offensive" to the liberal elite's sensibilities and more palatable to their "gay" design for America (it wasn't until much later that they turned on Kanye), so that means the feminization of hip-hop and purging of the so-called "gangsta rappers" like 50 Cent, DMX, Busta Rhymes, etc and making sure all the new star rappers/basketball players fit their gay-friendly criteria. Fat Joe already said the music industry is completely controlled by the gay lobby/gay Mafia and that includes the hip-hop industry. Rappers like Lil Wayne and Kanye start cross-dressing and wearing dresses and as soon as they sold their souls, they immediately became A-lister (Weezy was a B-list regional rapper for a long time until he received a "push" from an invisible hand, Nothing is an accident). The final piece of the puzzle was Barack Obama. They knew black people would never be down with that gay shit if somebody like Hillary Clinton was selling it and there was a very high likelihood of depressed 2012 turnout if she forced that down our throats (kind of like how we killed gay marriage in California in the Prop 8 votes back in 2008, on the same night Obama was elected, and gays rioted against black people), so they needed a black "frontman" to help them sell the gay agenda to black people and that was exactly why Obama was anointed the "chosen one" in 2008. They picked him to complete the gay agenda while minimizing opposition from black people. Ever wonder why Obama risked did so much for gays but refused to do the same for blacks? He was a puppet of these people. That was why Iverson must go. Not because he would vocalize his opinion on gays but that his personal brand was incompatible with the direction they wanted us to go.

      hero shit. appreciate the break down greatly. and i agree on many points - k west and lil wayne blowing up. i found it funny how big 90s rap was / yo mtv raps etc. strong thought provoking lyrics etc then boom - bring in more boy bands / pop rappers etc.etc. yeah he def.got blackballed similar to abdul-rauf by the sounds of things. still wonder if that Cavs W last year was a set up....most probably is. bless your 2017. great response!!!

    • @realniggashit3
      @realniggashit3 7 років тому +29

      Cavs W last year wasn't any more of a setup than the 2013 finals when Popovich sent Tim Duncan to the BENCH during crunch time. The Heat kept missing 3's but kept grabbing offensive rebounds because Duncan was on the bench until Ray Allen finally hit one. And tbh I think the league wants to promote Steph Curry as the "face of the league" these days more than it wants to promote LeBron. LeBron is frankly no longer the golden child. Don't get me wrong, LeBron has always been a smart business-savvy guy and he knows how to play ball with corporate America but he's still too hood for them. Curry is mixed, light-skinned, grew up in the suburb, family-friendly, gay-friendly, a liberal, no tats, hoops in liberal Mecca Bay Area. You just can't script it any better.

Iverson was great and he changed the game with his style of play. He was one of the best that I have ever seen and so much fun to watch. There were only 2 NBA players that I made an effort to watch play every time that they were on television, and that was Iverson and Jordan. Nuff said.

    I love the revisionist history of Iverson's time in Philly. Larry Brown trashed Iverson in an interview as the reason he was leaving for Detroit. Brown always disrespected him by calling him "the little kid". Then everybody scapegoated Iverson when he was traded out of Philly. The press proclaimed that he was supposed to be the reason for the Sixers' downfall. No mention of Billy King signing Willie Green, Kyle Korver and Sam Dalembert to longterm contracts like they were supposed form the nucleus of a championship contender. -----------------------------------------------------
    Hell, Iverson should have had a second MVP (instead of Nash) when he went 30 and 8 (2.4 steals) for a season and dragged the mediocre Sixers to another playoff appearance.

      If MVP actually meant "Most Valuable" Wilt and MJ would have 8 MVP awards each, Iverson would have had at least 2. Kobe probably gets 2006, 2007 and 2008

    They didn't see surround Iverson with a second player who complimented him. He for sure had God given talent but man was he excited to watch. He would was prototypical point scoring guard we see today. People were more in awe of his talent then bringing in players. Look at the other guys shooting percentage or them on other teams. They sucked ass and I am putting it lightly. Eric Snow couldn't hit a shot if it wasn't a lay up

      they had jerry steakhouse for during AI's first 2 seasons, but he needed the ball as well. it didn't work so one of them had to go. stackhouse wasn't a scrub - he was a 2-time all in his first 5 seasons.

      @Amick44 6 років тому

      Exactly keepkul. Stack had to go, he was seen as a "threat" to A.I's ball dominance. Ditto later for Toni Kukoc, then Glenn Robinson. Anyone else who could score was gone quickly at Philly.

    • @Amick44

      Stack averaged nearly 30 ppg one season at Detroit. Big time scorer in his youth. Not a good mix for A.I. But it has worked well on some teams with some stars.

    Iverson was better than Kobe for most of his career imo. If iverson played with the talent Kobe had like Shaq, Pau Gasol, Bynum, Lamar Odom, Ron Artest, Robert Horry, Trevor Ariza, Glen Rice, Mitch Richmond then Allen iverson would've won just as many rings.

    • @nickgojc7905
      @nickgojc7905 7 років тому +37

      Iverson came in the league as one of the best players immediately and Kobe did not even tho Kobe was bigger and stronger. Allen was mentally and physically ready before Kobe. Allens still the only rookie to score 4/40pt games in a row beating MJs record. David stern just hated him because he wanted to be him self. So stern made sure no real talent ever made his way on the roster. It's funny that a league that claims to be against "trumps hate" and progressive and care about minorities and equal rights punished a young black man like iverson because he wouldn't let David stern photoshop his tattoos out of his pics and Created a dress code profiling against iverson and young blacks. The NBA is so full of shit and racist and says one thing while doing another.

But unfortunately when he was getting back to his old self his daughter go ill. i'm still trying to find the clip when Ai said he didn't what to be like jordan. like magic, bird or any of those guys, guess it was a phase he was going thru from being pressured, but while he was in that moment of self actualization & non conformity, i became a fan, been one since day 1 96, summer, but of th person..then

    Not so sure Jordan wasn't reveling in the fact that Iverson was going through what he was at the time, more than likely having full transparency, seeing how close he and David Stern were. This is the same Jordan who has been rumored to have gone to Mr. Stern to complain about Iverson's crossover. We all know what happened there. The same Jordan who questioned his own rookie season compared to Iversons'. Very telling. He desperately wanted to teach Iverson a "lesson", and was never really able to do it on the court. It would not be a reach to propose Jordan being in on the conspiracy to abbreviate the career of AI. It was clear at that pace, that AI would have also surpassed Jordan on the all-time scoring list. With Iverson being the only player to have his shoes outsell MJs', it may be also safe to assume that had something to do with Jordan coming out of retirement, for a second time. Iverson was the truth, much like Jordan, since day one. Only difference was AI was a true lion, while Mike made more kitten-like concessions, and had the backing of the machine. Anytime a player comes along, and an entire league scrambles to change up multiple rules, coerce referees, and collude against that player, there is no way that player is not in a G.O.A.T. conversation. Especially when that player is still able to make such an indelible mark, and lasting legacy. As far as rings go, it hasn't stopped Barry Sanders from being considered the greatest running back ever. Just saying.
