In my personal opinion I feel that Uiharu is an a*hole but no one realises cause of how subtle she can sometimes be but if you’re observant then you can catch it. One of the many reasons Uiharu earns the position of my favourite fictional character.

In the dub, whenever Uiharu responds with "Well, Shirai..." or "Well, Saten..." you can just tell that she's trying her damn hardest to hold back the roast of the century. How she keeps managing to restrain that ferocious pubescent attitude is frankly a bigger mystery than the #6's identity at this point.
considering multiple non-canon Omakes feature her holding Touma x Accel smut (implied she wrote it) at this point I wouldn't be shocked to find out she beta's Aliester's porn
Anyone who read Index SP knows that Uiharu isn’t just one of those characters that is always assisting from the sidelines with her computing skills but if there isn’t anyone else to help then she will get her hands dirty... With red. Not just her hands we’re talking Touma level injuries, covered in blood from head to toe and barely staying conscious long enough to confirm that she’s saved the day. It really made me want a Gaiden staring Uiharu and jobs from judgement that don’t involve kuroko.
She's also the kind that would be willing to *spill* the red while giving the brightest smile imaginable.... just ask Saten when she pulled a crimescene prank only for Uiharu to unoreverse and pretend to be a serial killer.
Uiharu's burns are way more fire in the manga and LNs like she didn't just say 'no one wants to see you' no she said 'no one worries about you anyways'
I thought that's more of a translation differences (?) Sometimes the original dialogue isn't necessary changed from the source materials but the language translation does (that's why a manga scan releases often to have a different line & dialogues with the official translation release/Viz).
Issue is, based on Kamachi's characterization of her breaking down crying is the last thing she'd do in any situation, least of all her friends being kidnapped Instead she'd have already plotted out 96 separate ways to ruin whoever slighted her's life and turn them into a laughing stock.
The anime mistakes her for cute and innocent when Kamachi and the railgun mangeka clearly portray her as a "looks sweet, would probably kill you with a smile on her face while slowly ripping your innards out and making playful remarks about your agony." And considering the railgun LN's Saten story has her traumatizing Saten so badly the girl fucking collapses, and how she's casually talked about committing taxfraud.... not to mention how she very VERY NEARLY went full Oni mode in Jailbreaker and would have outright murdered Kimi if not for Saten... no theres no innoence there, the innocence is a facade she puts on to lure in her prey and trap it, she's the kind of girl who would *be* the one making the delinquents kiss her feet in a alley while wearing a fing dominatix outfit.
First the two seasons, the first half is very close to the manga. For the first season though, the mini arcs/plots aren’t necessarily in order. The second half is complete filler. Railgun S sticks very close to the manga for the first half, then goes into a complete filler arc for the second. Finally, Railgun T sticks to canon for both the first and the second half; it’s the most accurate season to date.
