If an actual flash game every comes out, I think they should do something similar to the quicksilver mod for GTA V, where the player runs pretty fast, but still manageable, like a car speed or something, but make it so time itself is slowed down, so cars and bullets and stuff are in extremely slow motion, while flash moves at a manageable speed
This game has slow motion via threat sensors. I’m sure they can implement it to be easily toggled on and off. And long lasting
i used to love the quicksilver mod in gta, too bad it doesnt work anymore

For anyone who thinks a Flash game couldn’t work because you see the constant stopping in this, 1. Remember, this is a mod based off of a Spider-Man game, based in New York City, with traffic, and pretty narrow roads. If it’s a Flash game. You can give him auto dodge to avoid the cars. You can even give the auto dodge a cool animation, or slow down animation. Or make streets wider, set the vehicles up to be placed properly for the player, or literally make a zoom effect that "blurs out" other vehicles (when really the vehicles would disappear) so the player can still feel like they’re running through the streets, and when they stop, the zoom effect immediately stops and they can see the cars and the people again, or they can do automatic phase through cars and such.
There are many ways around it that stick by his abilities
Or a quickstep like sonic unleashed

@@lemonyanva1976 Exactly what I thought when I saw him crashing into cars. They could also maybe have faster ways to go over vehicles, something like vaulting on them.
Could also have him use his vibrate ability to avoid card, where he vibrates for a sec and just runs through the cars
like when you're progressing towards the game you unlock phasing and the game auto phasing for you if you are about to hit an object within a certain speed

For anyone thinking it's impossible to make a flash game based on the gameplay in the vid, you should watch the beta gameplay of the flash game that was cancelled which is up on youtube. The free roam gameplay looked really fun.

Pretty soon they’ll add a gta mod to this game where you can equip and use firearms mark my words lol and maybe even enter vehicles and simulate driving. Hopefully they add a punisher mod with that 🔥

How Peter SHOULD be running normally. People underestimate how much Spider-Man can REALLY do
Peter isn’t that fast lmao. But he is faster than he’s portrayed in the ps4 game as he’s seen catching people like dead pool and daredevil off guard. And they’re pretty fast for super human standards. Flash on the other hand isn’t super human speed he’s omnipotent and damn near telepathic as he’s seen out running it.

Here we see the main problem with adapting a character like Flash into a game: they're too fast for the player to properly handle. The free roam stuff was cool, but it's clear that there was a struggle when it came to avoiding cars, which immediately pull you out of the run, due to the fact that when a car appears in your way, you have very little time to actually react to it.
I realize this is a mod and there's only so much you can do, but watching this, it really demonstrated to me why we have yet to see a true Flash video game.
Slow motion is not that hard to implement.

The thing is, is that this was a mod for a spiderman game. You cant expect the same issues to be present for a game built specifically for the flash. There are various ways to tackle issues when having super speed characters in game but it depends on the type of game your making. A linear game would be easiest to do. When it comes to open world you can make it so that the character moves automatically over cars and objects (much like in this game), you can have a slow motion mechanic or a quick turn button that players can utilize to make sharp turns around corners and such.
I'm not even a game designer I'm an animator. I've had conversations about this with some buddies who works in the game industry and this was some of the things we came up with. Ultimately the main factor is how you depict the speed and how fast your character is actually moving. Technical issues that you actually needed to point out were things like going too fast to the point objects and terrains not rendering properly. Thats the real issue and not this friend.

If they could make a flash game where he automatically avoids objects as he runs, the gameplay would be so much smoother. Like if he's running in a straight path where there are cars coming and he's able to move past them without running through them or crashing into them. That could make it work

It was me, Barry.
I’m a big flash fan and would love for a flash game to come out. But let’s be real for a second, even if the devs working on the game figure out how to make the movement throughout the city seamless without stopping when you hit a car or whatever, the combat would be another issue, what could they really do to ground you enough so the combat feels a little more challenging while still keeping the flash’s abilities and speed. Not just combat but the story. Yes, there’s the Reverse Flash and many other speedsters for him to fight, but how would that even work, just the enemies racing against you or something? the combat could somewhat work there because the enemy and the flash would somewhat be running at the same speed and slomo would make it look like normal speed for them. If they figure all that out, then comes the size of the game, the game is going to need a heavy hitter, something like the newest Geforce GPU that just came out, it would be a performance heavy game, just loading the things you’ll be passing through and such, it would burn all of our PCs for sure

Theres this feature in ghostrunner where you can slow down speed at will, i think that would allow a flash game to feel more agile making it so you can instantly slow time down and make a sharp turn , kinda like franklins ability in gta 5

Well…The Flash Character is getting bad press due to you know who playing him. If they were to release a Flash game next year or a couple years from now…it wouldn’t sell as much as you’d think. But that’s just an assumption.
@@julianbalenzano6432 that literally has nothing to dk with it. it's the actor who's getting bad press. it's not like people start liking the character less because one actor who plays him is a terrible person. that's a very dumb connection to make, my guy. plus most people are more in love with grant gustins flash anyway and he's always been a good guy.
the real reason there's never been s flash game, is because the Speed management is an extremely underated problem and no one has been quite able to solve it.
There kinda is though. Flash can run around the world in under a minute the reasoning for his to be running slow in a free roam scenario makes no sense because why would he be running that slow for no reason? It sucks because flash is such a cool character but we might get a good shot at seeing how he can work when Kill the Justice League comes out but only time will tell.

I would live to have a Flash game.
Due to the Flash's immense speed, the map should be at least four times as big as the Spider Man map. Also, an idea for a Flash game: You can see different versions of your current map in different time periods, this could be used for an amazing plot which involves time travel, perhaps adapting the Flash Point as a game would be cool (hope it doesn't turn into a shite show like the movie)
I always thought that a multiverse game with a single player story mode and then a multiplayer mode where you can choose to be a good speedster or a bad one and basically have your own version of the Flash Tv show would be coool
I think it would be much smoother to make the player pass through cars when coming in contact with them, as if you're phasing through them
Honestly I would love this but its super blurry, and it would be nice if vaulting over stuff didn't reset you're momentum, I'm not sure how that stuff works but personally I just think those would be nice improvements
I really think you should keep crediting modders like how you credited Niquita on the comic booky Unlimited suit. That was a great thing to do and idk why you didn't continue doing so
Also the fact that you got the gaul to be out here sporting that suit and taking bullets is a disgrace
It would be cool to see a red trail, slow-motion, some ability that makes you able to walk through solid objects, tornado arms and having the webs replaced with some acrobatics.

@@lughzi1591 that and the flash time. Pretty much every modder used it in the gta v flash mods and were able to run through San Andreas perfectly without any vehicles in their way. I don’t know how people aren’t remembering that flash can use flash time to slow down time while running. He’s always done it . How do they even think he’s able to run that fast in comics and movies? He perceives everything a million times slower than us so these vehicles would be easy for him to transverse through without even needing to phase .
