That’s amazing. Your advice to draw one shape and then to use a compass to mark the extremities and points of inflection around the whole figure have elevated my drawings instantly. Suddenly I can do leaf shapes more consistently around the entire circle(s), and I don’t need to avoid drawing them any more!

Thank you for taking the time to explain step by step how you make your geometric magic. I’m practicing and practicing and one day hope to work out what design I want and where to place the compass on my own. It’s a bit tricky to pick this up at 73, but it’s also fun!

Fantastic, you make it look so easy, I'd be the one spinning the guy around on the chair to get position :D. Have a question though. I've noticed before on your other videos that you kind of half erase the pattern after sketching and before ink; that seems so terrifying for me. Why don't you just draw straight over the pencil???
😂 I feel like the pencil interferes with the ink. I want the ink to soak into the paper with nothing between. Instead of erasing the lines you could use a harder pencil like a 2H so the lines aren’t too heavy. The only reason I use a soft pencil is so that it shows up better in the videos.
